The entire album or song?
It's a pretty big album. 150mb.
Either one, I'm aware of the size. |
Your post leaves me baffled and wanting to cause you overwhelming physical and emotional harm.
I was trying to get some free albums I think I heard one of their songs today, and the slide guitar was so awesome. |
Either one, I'm aware of the size.
I just sent out the song, I love Neil doing Cowgirl In The Sand live. On the subject of the Allmans. The beginning of Blue Sky and Ramblin' Man sound a lot alike to me :| Ramblin' Man is fun to play also. |

Nowhere really. Just lurking around the forums, occasionally going outside ( ).
|
I am thinking of uploading some albums just to see what you all think:
Paul McCartney- Ram Bjork- Medulla John Scofield- A GoGo |
California has been sent out.
|
OMG
This Allman Brothers is....well...:) I like it very much. |
I am thinking of uploading some albums just to see what you all think:
OMG
occasionally going outside ( ).
 SO, I hope that you will all agree with me when I say that MArvin Gaye, Otis Redding and Al Green are rock. THe latter two are for sure, but YDload won't accept them for the vocalists thing. |
I sent out Bjork's Medulla, tell me what you think
|
Bjork scares me, the though of actually listening to her music makes my head hurt.
DMV: Sorry, but those guys are Soul singers. |
Yeah Bjork scares me also. She(or whatever he/she is) is really weird.
|
I always thought of Otis like Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley...
My favorite Bjork would probably be Homogenic. She has such a haunting(ish) voice. |
God, I love Out of the Blue.
Mmmm, Sweet Talkin' Woman. /irrevelant /ELO rawks |
So I was gonna send out some Tom Petty for the CR mailing list the other day, but YSI wouldn't let me add more than 5 email addresses at a time for who I was sending it to. Is this what it's usually like?
|
Med you are the bee's knees.
|
i kind of like the bjork. she's like a female mike patton.
i tried to nominate some soul singers too but i believe they were discounted. whatever. ignore some of the greatest vocalists of all time. as long as it means that green day doesnt get in. |
You guys ever heard Kraftwerk, man I love them.
|
You guys ever heard Kraftwerk, man I love them.
Kraftwerk are a brilliant band. Highly influential. It's a shame that here, at least, they're prtty much only known for "The Model". |
yeh It's a shame
|
I absolutely love Kraftwerk...Autobahn is one of my favourite albums of all time, and The Man-Machine and Trans-Europe Express are brilliant too. Apparently they're surprisingly good live as well...I know people who've been to see them, and they say that they're great. If you like Kraftwerk and haven't done already, you should check out some Krautrock stuff (Can, Neu!, and bands like that.) I find some of Kraftwerk's music to be quite psychedelic in an odd way.
My favourite by them is autobahn they also led me onto tribal tech. |

You see, I tried this and I couldn't get into any other "Krautrock" bands. I especially don't see what is so great about Can, but maybe it's just me. |
Thanks for the Mr. Bungle JonG. :)
Mr. Spaceman is the best Byrds song..
Good song but the best? No way. Even though Bob Dylan did write it "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" is easily the best out of everything I've heard. "Wasn't Born To Follow" is a really close 2nd. Has anyone else heard it? It's like a mix of Psychedelia and Country.
Who else nominated Bob Dylan?
I was about to but I didn't want to put him in the same league vocaly as Brian Wilson, John Lennon, Jim Morrison...etc
My List ------------------------------ Greg Allman (Allman Brothers) Levon Helm (The Band) Paul McCartney (The Beatles) John Lennon (The Beatles) Jim Morrison (The Doors) Glenn Danzig (Danzig) Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead) Dorothy Moskowitz (United States of America) Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) Colin Blunstone (The Zombies) Arthur Lee (Love) Don Van Vliet (Captain Beefheart) Bob Marley (Bob Marley) David Crosby (CSN) Stephen Stills (CSN) George Harrison (The Beatles) Does anyone else think Levon Helm is extremly underrated?
You guys ever heard Kraftwerk, man I love them.
I've read several great reveiws and a fantastic FA that Med wrote. I'm not too hot for techno but...I'm very interested in hearing Autobahn considering it's great reputation.
i tried to nominate some soul singers too but i believe they were discounted. whatever. ignore some of the greatest vocalists of all time. as long as it means that green day doesnt get in.
It's really a shame.... Has anyone read Robert Crumb's great FG on Soul in Other Music? |
I sent out Bjork's Medulla, tell me what you think
I like Bajork.
You guys ever heard Kraftwerk, man I love them.
I'm getting into them. I'm slowly getting into good techno. |
Yeah, Mr. Spaceman and You Ain't Going Nowhere are my two favorite Byrds songs. It was a hard choice.
Uncle Tupelo's version of Sin City isn't nothin' compared to the Burrito's version. :) Still good album, a little punky, but still good. |
Even though Bob Dylan did write it "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" is easily the best out of everything I've heard.
This is true.
Uncle Tupelo's version of Sin City isn't nothin' compared to the Burrito's version. Still good album, a little punky, but still good.
I'm guessing you got the album then. I love that album, there's a bunch of great songs of it: "Graveyard Shift", "No Depression", "Train", "Screendoor", "That Year", "Life Worth Livin'", etc. |
Yeah, I jumped to Sin City, wondering if it was a cover.
I'm going to listen to the entire thing pretty soon though. |
Man. I am obsessed with Yes. Close to the Edge is just too good. Any other Yes heads.
|
Does anyone else think Levon Helm is extremly underrated?
I prefer Richard Manuel's voice to Levon Helm's, but they're both great. I nominated them and Rick Danko.
Man. I am obsessed with Yes. Close to the Edge is just too good. Any other Yes heads.
I love Yes, Close to the Edge is a masterpiece. |
I haven't done my vocal nominations yet. I need to go do those. I like Yes but I go through phases with them. Sometimes I think they are amazing and then sometimes I find them boring. Depends on my mood. Usually I really enjoy them though.
