shut up and listen damn it
I never really thought of Woe as post-bm, they have some pretty straightforward stuff. I mean it's definitely clean productionwise but it's not all shoegazey and atmospheric like post-bm usually is.
Who said Woe is post-bm so I can fight them at a show.
i specifically stated a couple pages ago that woe isn't post black
post black metal? haha
i will fight anyone that seriously thinks of anything as post-black metal
why
do you not consider post rock and post metal genres either |
People try to group together atmospheric black metal and post bm and just call it all atmospheric bm but it's not the same. post bm has the shoegaze and post rock elements and usually a lot cleaner production than atmospheric black metal. Atmospheric black metal is a lot closer to traditonal black metal and from what I see, it started with Burzum, trying to create a dreamlike/trance feel to the songs with longer, absorbing tracks.
every single variant
must make new genre name no shut the fuck up its atmospheric bm nobody here is actually saying blackened punk its just hipsterfaggots and their faggotree thats making post-bm what it is |
so i head this new blackened post-deathgaze metal album yesterday it was pretty sweet
wolves in the throne room is not balc ke metal becaus the y r from ametinca
wittr are postambientfairyblackmetalcore
dude your argument is retarded
for one i think the term 'atmospheric' being used for a genre is just idiotic. every single song in the world has an atmosphere of some kind. i've always thought this was so fucking stupid. post black metal would literally mean using black metal conventions to create something that isn't wholly black metal. which is exactly what bands called post black metal are. it's a good term, just like post rock, post punk, post metal, post hardcore, etc etc |
those are retarded too though theyre just so widely accepted now i dont say anything
post metal i disagree
sounds more like metal influenced post rock bands |
explain the retardedness
so far all you've done is make lame jokes about 'fairy post ambient blackgaze metalcore' which is nothing at all like what anyone has said (ever, to my knowledge). there is black metal, and there is post black metal.
sounds more like metal influenced post rock bands
that sounds a whole lot like post metal |
anglachel has mad raw opinions
sounds kinda different, gonna slap post on it
so then you're saying that krallice and negura bunget and alcest and cold body radiation and altar of plagues are black metal
idk how krallice or altar of plagues wouldn't be black metal....
that sounds a whole lot like post metal
yeah, which is freaking retarded look at how you defined a 'post' genre, and how most people do, myself included post punk isnt punk influenced post rock, post hardcore isn't hardcore influenced post rock, nah mean? |

"post" in itself isn't a 'sound' or 'style' |
what about depressive black metal? raw black metal? It's all under the BM banner but if you want to describe a bands sound that is what you use. Same with atmospheric and post-bm
atmospheric is retarded, every piece of music in the world ever created no matter how simple or bad creates an atmosphere to some degree

i know which is why i dont get the term post metal just seems like metallic sounding post rock |
there are hundreds of post metal bands that sound nothing like post rock
atmospheric is retarded, every piece of music in the world ever created no matter how simple or bad creates an atmosphere to some degree
no its not, atmospheric bm focuses on building the atmosphere. You are telling me you don't see a difference in style? Song length and pacing are totally different and focused on being immersive instead of just straight forward aggressive black metal. |

any band you consider atmospheric bm could just as easily be considered post black, symphonic black, depressive black, whatever. it's all semantics really, i'm just trying to say that post black metal is a perfectly valid title |
there are hundreds of post metal bands that sound nothing like post rock
ya im kina a post metal noobz |
