^ Yeah, he's a great drummer, but definitely an idiot in alot of ways, particularly in his refusal to use ear protection.

its a generation thing, we have a certain amount of stubburness to our ways.

if i ever did have any problems id take care of it right away, as of right now my hearing is 100%. at the moment all i do is play to cds with the headphones on, so there is no damage being done there seeing as i keep the volume very very low for that realistic feel ;) :)

here ~ let me get that soapbox for you guys....

Heh, you might think your hearing is at 100%, but it probably isn't.

Tang. 04-24-2006 08:42 PM

Cocaberry 04-24-2006 09:07 PM

I find it hard to take anyone with a tagline like "Keepin' It Real Niggaz" seriously.

Win A Rabbit 04-24-2006 09:08 PM

well i just finished jamming with them. talented bunch of guys. they play all rock stuff, which can be a bit boring at times, but oh well. atleast it's something. i'm not really into the whole "only rock" thing though. oh well, maybe i can persuade them into some mars volta or something.

Mitch2oo6 04-24-2006 09:10 PM

Heh deffinatley! But rocks not that bad, you gotta get into it though, otherwise its boring as ****.

rockindrummer 04-24-2006 09:14 PM

^ Ya that is true. It's always fun to branch off a little at times though.

rockindrummer 04-24-2006 09:40 PM

Does anybody have any idea what maynard means when he says saturn ascends, in the grudge?

Win A Rabbit 04-24-2006 09:43 PM

i don't understand 90% of maynard's lyrics.

Aaron 04-24-2006 09:43 PM

oi thugs, if you have msn add me..

Win A Rabbit 04-24-2006 09:46 PM

do you think i could get the guys i just jammed with to learn some ska? i'd love to throw some streetlight manifesto in there every once in a while, to spice things up.

most guitarists I've met always seem stuck in their own genre, but thats a pretty big generalization... You might as well try it, I know my band didn't though.

Futuro 04-24-2006 10:16 PM

Just got back from Satch and Eric Johnson. Good live show, Both played very well, and the light show was nice. I got to see them at a performing arts center, GREAT sound quality.

But I do have to complain about his guitar being a bit low in the mix, Thankfully that was fixed within the 2nd song.

Maggot Dream 04-24-2006 10:39 PM

That's awesome, I really wish I could've seen them here.

Win A Rabbit 04-24-2006 10:46 PM

so one of my friends is really messed up on drugs now. to the point where i'm trying to help her, and she "doesn't want me to see her like this". she won't tell me where she's staying (i called her house, they don't know where she is), and she'll talk to me on her cell phone for 5 minutes at a time, max. then she'll just freak out and hang up. it's been going on for a few days now, and it's getting progressively worse.

any tips? i hate knowing that she's like this, and that there's not really anything i can do.

Cocaberry 04-24-2006 10:53 PM

Try to do your best to find out where she is. Then go over there and escort her to a rehab clinic.

If you can't find out where she is there isn't really anything else you can do that you haven't done already.

It's sad to see people like that, and it's worse when you can't do anything to help them.

Josiah 04-25-2006 03:03 AM

Awesome! That's the great thing about drugs - population control.

Drum Phil 04-25-2006 05:10 AM
