Same but it doesn't ever snow here. We've had a poopload of hurricane days though.
We usually get quite a lot of snow, or used to at least. These past few years have been meager and this winter it has only snowed two or three times. The temperature is even above zero. I hope we get some real cold 'til Jason comes here, so he can experience that.

It's been nice and cool here lately, in the 60s-70s with a really cool breeze. I love it.

Nostalgia 01-28-2008 12:40 PM

My school is really lame though. Any days of school we miss due to snow is added to the end of the year. Like last year summer break didn't start until June 27th.

Stormrider 01-28-2008 12:40 PM

We've got several snow days this year alone. There was a couple of snowstorms during December, one which was about 15 inches of snow.

How could does it get there?

Here, we get a really bitter and crisp cold. It's usually around -3 to -15, but the windchill factor has been known to make it like -35.

It's 1 degree today, should be 4 tomorrow. But it was -10 and bitterly cold as **** all last week.

Deth 01-28-2008 12:43 PM

When school is closed here it's because a ****ing hurricane is coming.

We've been pretty lucky lately >_>

Yeah, last week there was one morning where it was -23 without the wind.

Tyler 01-28-2008 12:45 PM

It was around that cold on Friday night when I was out. When it's so cold your skin actually hurts.

Yeah. Putting up shutters is a bitch, at least now we have the sweet accordion ones. In 2005 we put them up 3 times in a month.

We got grants from the county for these crazy transparent covers for the windows. Basically a thick wavy piece of plastic. They are awesome and were installed by workers.

Fvkking dry cold ... I got out of the car today with my mp3 player and got stopped midsong because the undischarged static on the door frame zapped through my hand. Fortunately, the disk is fine.

How much is that in Celsius?

I'd say a standard winter the temperatures range between -2 to -8 or so, disregarding the windchill factor. Three winters ago we had -30 or so in February. Since Stockholm is a coastal city, we have a rather humid climate considering the latitude and it always feels colder than it really is.

Mellan 15 och 21 grader.

That sounds rather nice, actually. But you have mad humid weather, don't you?

AA-12 01-28-2008 12:51 PM

Yep.

Tyr 01-28-2008 12:52 PM

That's really not my kind of thing. I sweat when I'm out walking in the weather we have now.

Tyler 01-28-2008 12:59 PM

We have the worst of both worlds. It's humid and smoggy all summer. Suffocating.

Tyr 01-28-2008 01:00 PM

You don't make me want to come to Toronto, you know.

Tyler 01-28-2008 01:01 PM

Spring is great here though, weather wise. Summer nights are great too. But smog alerts are just ugh.

Tyr 01-28-2008 01:02 PM

Yeah, if I decide to study in Canada (which I have thought about), I'm thinking of going to Vancouver, despite the humidity. All to be able to ski.

Tyler 01-28-2008 01:04 PM

Vancouver isn't all that humid I don't think? Not sure.

B.C is such a bizarre province when you think about it. Rainforests? Big cities? Gigantic mountains/skiing/snowboarding? About a billion chinese people?

Glitterati 01-28-2008 01:07 PM

BC gets really humid during the summer, specifically the interior.

We got snow last night.

I'm hoping it won't be that bad. Not that anything is decided.

The nature is what has gotten me interested in going there. Great forests, awesome skiing, kayaking. Not to mention Vancouver seems pretty cool. And isn't Vancouver's Chinatown the second biggest in North America?

Tyler 01-28-2008 01:08 PM
And isn't Vancouver's Chinatown the second biggest in North America?
It has to be, all I ever hear about is how many Asians there are there.

Chinatown in Toronto kicks *** as well though.

Anglachel 01-28-2008 01:10 PM

Iluvatar 01-28-2008 01:10 PM
