I like D666, especially that first EP and the Wolves, Women, and War EP, but that last album really blew hard.

yeah i like them too, but they don't get heaps of plays

Destroyer666 is one of those bands I've been meaning to check out for quite some time, but never gotten around to. This sounds pretty good, though. Guess I'll go pay a visit to S4D and pick that shit up.

They're good to listen to from time to time.

Faves:

Bathory, Destroyer666, Burzum, Absurd, Blut Aus Nord, Fanisk, Mayhem (old), Immortal, Darkthrone, Xenophobia, Enslaved, Emperor etc...

The Viking metal sub-genre is also excellent. A fine combination of folk n black. Falkenbach, Bathory (again), Tyr, Thyrfing, Einherjer.

So I'm listening to Deströyer 666 - Unchain The Wolves right now. I'm almost all the way through to the end of the album, and I'm liking it quite a lot. Reminds me of Aura Noir's filth, but it's much more melodic.

I love Blut Aus Nord.

I love Memoria Vetusta II but I'm not crazy about much else I've heard from them.

Memoria Vetusta I is really good too, it's like their first but the keyboards don't sound like a toy.

That's what kills Ultima Thulee for me. It's a good black metal album ruined by what sounds like someone accidentally sitting on a casio during the recording process.

Yeah the keys aren't as prominent or goofy sounding, take this song for example.
