I'm back! Just in case anyone noticed :P
Uh, anyway I was helping my Grandma move to an assistant living house over my only 4 day break till Thanksgiving and as I was moving stuff I stumbled on my uncles/mom's 8 Track collection (75 or so) and boy they have some great stuff in there, all of the Stones up till 75' or so alot of Who, Beatles, Zeppelin, Sly and the Family Stone, Bob Dylan, BB King, Poco etc, etc. And when I asked my mom why she had so many its cause she said she thought they were here to stay... I thought that was rather funny. I also found my Grandma's Record collection it has so many old 50's records of people I've never heard of. I did find like one Elvis and Peter, Paul and Mary but the rest are like Bobbie Sherman and The King Family (?). So ya, now I've got myself an 8 track collection and some crappy records! Yay! |
Wow I seriously killed the thread...
Double Postage... |
I'm listening to a really cool version of Tuesday's Gone by Phish.
Phish is starting to really grow on me. I saw a concert special of them on Friday. :) |
whoa weird format.

NP: Frank Zappa - Apostrophe' (Jack Bruce bass solo what) |
Heh. I'm back. Oh snap.
|
Home.
Yea it's back!
NP: Frank Zappa - Apostrophe' (Jack Bruce bass solo what)
Jack Bruce? That is the ultimate bass solo, I tried to learn it once, I got maybe 15 seconds into it I saw Tommy, and I really liked it. The part with the beans in the white room made my friend and I laugh hysterically for a good time I always thought Captian Walker killed the lover, not the other way around Daltry's cold, blank stare will be forever imprinted on my mind God, he had nice hair. |
What the fuck I definitely only hit the post button once.
I always thought Captian Walker killed the lover, not the other way around
Captain Walker did kill the lover  |
I was wondering why I didn't get any music lately. Then I look at my e-mail inbox and find it's all gone to junk mail  I go there and find all sorts of Yes, David Gilmour, Frank Zappa, all sorts of silliness. I'm a happy man

You can find bootleg footage on file sharing programs.

This is true. I can also find nested porn, spyware, and viruses on file sharing programs. |

I can upload some live Phish tomorrow hopefully. I have A Live One and Live Phish 14. I got at 2070 on my SATs (1400 on the old one) |
Well, you beat my score.
Sweet. Thanks.
Congrats on the scores! I got my SAT II in english today, got a 730.
Well la-dee-da Mr. 2350. A Live One is really good and Live Phish 14 isn't quite as good (I only got it because they cover Quadrophenia). While they do a good job, I was probably better off with one version of Quadrophenia. |
The site's up? Man, I got the great bud I've had in ages. Almost passed out after smoking just a blunt of it.
Did anyone catch the Pink Floyd reference on the front page? (Edit: Nevermind...Riva changed it.) I used to have Live Phish 22; very disappointing and sold it. Kinda wish I had another chance to hear it. :-/ |
Phish are great for the turning 3 minute songs into 20 minute jams. Or so i've heard.
*has never seen Phish because they don't come to Canada. Probably because it's cold and nobody likes them here :(* |
Captain Walker did kill the lover
Yeah, the screenwriter for the movie totally f'ed up. I got Quadrophenia today, and I'm happy with my purchase. Doctor Jimmy is such a good song. |
I've got to get some Crosby Stills and Nash material. I heard a song by them that i've never heard before yesterday, and I absolutely loved it.
|
Ohio is my favorite CSN(Y) song.
The only thing I dislike about Tommy and Quadrophenia is that it just doesn't sound as good if you listen to just one song and skip the rest. I always have to listen to the whole thing to make it sound good. |

I finally am borrowing Quadrophenia from the library, so I can finally no longer be a Who n00b and listen to some good ****! I'll listen to it tomorrow on the big speakers, screw headphones. The Who were never meant to be on headphones.

Somebody help me I really wanna check my SATs, bah. |

I've never heard Quadrophenia. It's sad.
Phish covered DSOTM? That's interesting. |
I like Quadrophenia but I haven't listened to it in a long time. I listened to Tommy today and I really want to see the movie even if it's supposed to be really bad. I'd like to hear some live Phish. Ohio or Suite Judy Blue Eyes is my favorite CSNY song.
/bump |
Teach Your Children, 4+20, Almost Cut My Hair are my favorites.
|

So, I gather I'm not the only one who couldn't get on yesterday? I had Changes stuck in my head durring Math Class today so badly it hurt... |
So I bought Neil's new album........finally.
|
Do you like it? I saw a boatload of copies at Best Buy. I'm going back tonight to get a DVD and maybe more CDs. :)
|
It's better than I thought. I still need to listen to it a bit more but it has some great tunes.

Thats good, I'm probably going to get it soon. Np: Mr. Blue Sky - ELO |
Yeah, I decided I'm going to try to complete my Neil Young collection no matter what genre/phase it is. Yes that means the techo album from the 80's.
I've only got 13 of his albums solo or with Crazyhorse, 2 of his CSNY albums and a Buffalo Springfield album. And a bootleg. |
