Sweet, I just order Trainspotting (the book).

Glitterati 06-29-2005 09:40 PM

Freak Out! is a great album.

White_heat 06-29-2005 09:42 PM

Sure is, isn't it suppose to be some kind of satire on The Beatles and 60s culture? The lyrics sure sound like it.

I want to read that. Who's the author?

ATM 06-29-2005 09:44 PM

Mallrats is so funny. My sister and I can practically quote the whole thing.

RockAndRoll 06-29-2005 09:45 PM

have you guys ever seen blackbooks?

Badmoon 06-29-2005 09:45 PM
I want to read that. Who's the author?
Irvine Welsh

Have you ever seen the movie? It's very good.
have you guys ever seen blackbooks?
Nah, what's it about?

No, I want to though.

Glitterati 06-29-2005 09:47 PM

I still have to see Trainspotting.

Anyone here seen Se7en? I'm seeing it in like a week.

White_heat 06-29-2005 09:48 PM

That movie is nasty. Thats why I like it :)

That movie's pretty good, very creepy. I'm about to go watch Night of the Living Dead, I hope it's as scary as they tell me.

It's a british comedy series, about these two guys and a girl, it mostly takes place at the book shoppe the two guys run(called black books named after the main owner (and character) bernard black), which is right besides the girl's shop, whatever type of shop it is./

Anyways it's absolutely hilarious.

RockAndRoll 06-29-2005 09:50 PM

Se7en is a crazy movie, the end kind of pissed me off.

Glitterati 06-29-2005 09:50 PM

I can't stand a lot of gore in my films, that's why I don't like modern horror flicks. I liked Goodfellas, though.

magicbus 06-29-2005 09:50 PM

Se7en is very cool. I was expecting it to be very scary, but its not. Its just gross.

White_heat 06-29-2005 09:53 PM

I dont really like too much gore in films, but se7ven was so gory it was funny, but I'm really into 70s/80s slasher flicks, the gore is just so fake it doesn't matter.

lunch998 06-29-2005 10:23 PM

Clerks is great, Mallrats is great. I also think/thought Jason Lee is great, especially when I used to skate.

Sounds interesting.

Goodfellas owns.

lunch998 06-29-2005 10:25 PM

Yea Goodfellas is a great movie.

I saw Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind yesterday -- amazing movie.
Wow, I saw it yesterday too. It was different than I expected it to be, but I really liked it. I think it was rated R because of the scene where they smoke a joint. Wouldn't want kids seeing that, now...

Illmatic 06-29-2005 10:29 PM

I had a girl make me watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with her...ugh, that's a few hours of my life I'm never going to get back.

She made you? Like with shackles and handcuffs?

lunch998 06-29-2005 10:31 PM

Yea that movie looked like garbage to me, so I doubt I'll ever see it.

Walrus Gumboot 06-29-2005 10:36 PM

The only movies I swear never to waste time/money on are crappy sequels. For example Miss Congeniality II

I saw The Motorcycle Diaries the other day, it was really good. I was expecting more, the way people talk about it, but it was still really good. I had to listen to my Spanish teacher make rude comments about the guy who played Che though (AyAyAy! Que guapo!)

Hmm, I liked it. I thought it was setup really good and was a great example of Maze cinematography.

Seafroggys 06-29-2005 11:09 PM

I saw Team America today.....

"America....**** yeah!"

Classic song.

Also saw the Muppet Movie.

What do you guys think of the Muppet Band? They're classic rock :D

Canadian-Guy 06-29-2005 11:13 PM

Muppet movies rule. I like how the female singer is (IMO) modelled after Joni Mitchell.

np: Bob Dylan - It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding). I'm addicted to this song. It's amazing how he just spits out these random words and makes it sound so good.

ATM 06-29-2005 11:19 PM

I'm downloading my first Tom Waits album. Is he any good?

Canadian-Guy 06-29-2005 11:21 PM
I'm downloading my first Tom Waits album. Is he any good?
I like him, if you can get past his voice, he's great.
