Because you seem to be trying to say that the band is not there to entertain, but rather they are there to preach about what they believe in.

SlightlyEpic 02-04-2010 01:05 PM

I listen to music for entertainment

am I doing it wrong? :c

witchxrapist 02-04-2010 01:05 PM

A band is there to do as they please because it's their livelihood.

It's art, not entertainment.

Xplisit 02-04-2010 01:10 PM

To do as they please..

lol

witchxrapist 02-04-2010 01:35 PM

Son I will masturbate on your face.

The only reason I defend this is because I used to preach the word at shows.

Xplisit 02-04-2010 01:42 PM

[QUOTE=hXcPLISIT;17791441]@ mapz; it's because you try to be all religious and stuff

i know

witchxrapist 02-04-2010 01:55 PM

it was weird because not many otdb songs had christian lyrics lol

Xplisit 02-04-2010 01:56 PM

and then we like did a cover of 'when the sun sleeps' as an epik en-core

witchxrapist 02-04-2010 02:01 PM

covers we did when we were like 15 (eddie)/16 (the rest of us) when we first started 11th hour (), funeral thirst, beneath dying skies, rose of sharyn, and the best and most often: ohio is for lovers.

I wish we recorded more stuff, because our later stuff was like southerncore and screamo influenced melodic death metal. :(

But the one drummer we jammed with is back in town so yua!

Xplisit 02-04-2010 02:08 PM

haha funeral thirst

fun stuff

witchxrapist 02-04-2010 02:10 PM

Yeah, that time of me life was the most fun **** ever. Everyone who was in the band expresses interest in getting back together to jam, but the drummer's house is never open. :(

But like, open drummer finally.

i love that song

witchxrapist 02-04-2010 04:59 PM

Same. We played it our very first show, and some drunk *** Indian (like India, not America) dude in a polo and jeans started throwing down, it was hilarious.

Nepenthe 02-04-2010 05:06 PM

at horse the band there was some strange middle eastern guy in a suit. dont know if he threw down but he was definitely there.

Dimmu Burger 02-04-2010 05:10 PM

I saw For Today last night and dude looks Indian.

xMalcolmXx 02-04-2010 06:38 PM

for today has a cool intro track but i can't get into any of the actual songs

RetiredAt21 02-04-2010 06:42 PM

For Today blows.

He's probably from Cape Verde

alytee123 02-04-2010 07:22 PM

Viatrophy are splitting, cant say I'm disappointed.

Dimmu Burger 02-04-2010 07:49 PM

Where is Cape Verde enc?

Well maybe Viatrophy will split into two new bands that are better. Their last album wasn't bad.

2muchket! 02-04-2010 08:22 PM

Not too bothered.

They're album was a bit meh and they haven't been the same since Dan left, his vocals were fantastic.

landonius 02-05-2010 01:54 AM

Damn... I loved viatrophys s/t, had some awesome riffs and "epic juns"

Dimmu Burger 02-05-2010 02:07 AM

Epic juns are where it's at!

adb 02-05-2010 02:10 AM

still remember the first time I heard Viatrophy I was like, damn these guys have potential

in reality they only had a few good songs. Two or so on the ep and one off their lp which I listened to yesterday

witchxrapist 02-05-2010 02:34 AM

The EP is all solid, just not flashy enough for you Brent.

adb 02-05-2010 02:39 AM

nah their guitarists were pretty flashy

they just were a one trick pony

witchxrapist 02-05-2010 02:40 AM

No, you're just a one idiot pony.

Dimmu Burger 02-05-2010 02:48 AM

Lol

Nepenthe 02-05-2010 02:49 AM

one trick PHONEY

Dimmu Burger 02-05-2010 02:50 AM

Oh snap!

alytee123 02-06-2010 05:28 AM

Had the displeasure of seeing Carnifex last night, vocalist ruined their new song, totally different vocal approach than the recording, fag.

xMalcolmXx 02-06-2010 11:50 AM

alytee123 02-06-2010 12:38 PM

Indeed.

Dimmu Burger 02-06-2010 01:49 PM

Lie to my ... frrrrrrcccccccceeee!!!!!

2muchket! 02-06-2010 01:50 PM

I like one carnifex album, just for some mindless juns.

Endangered Oddity 02-06-2010 01:55 PM

For being incredibly generic the first Carnifex was pretty damn solid. The second album was meh, i'm curious to see what they do with the 3rd.Also anyone here into The Contortionist or Here Comes The Kraken?

Dimmu Burger 02-06-2010 01:57 PM

I like both of those bands.

Yeah the first Carnifex was good. The second didn't grab me at all and I've only listened to the new one once, so i dunno.

Xplisit 02-06-2010 02:06 PM

i enjoy HCTK

Dimmu Burger 02-06-2010 02:08 PM

They bring El Juns.
