I like Grindhouse, Death Proof was bad but Grindhouse was ridiculously funny the one time I saw it.
Pulp=4>Reservoir=3.5 |
k ill listen to it soon bro.
cool cool willl listen to anything you did if you did shit idk |
i didnt find it too self indulgent
well, if the guy made a film which didn't involve flaunting - 1. his foot fetish 2. a penchant for "paying homage" to shlock cinema by borrowing ideas and scenes rather then making new ones 3. overbearing praise for films he likes through obnoxious pop culture references for a whole hour and a half I could probably agree with you |

well, i'd pay to see an Alex film that's a different story
scored by Pink & Yellow of course |

haz and i were supposed to split you lie like so much hardcore now |
i want to do a mock documentary of the rise and fall of awkward pop film so so bad
you mean a mockumentary?
it's gonna be about the fall of Awkward Pop as the founder of the genre's wife is in a mental institution and he's laying low trying to raise his daughter, write a low budget horror film and promote his friend's band Pink and Yellow
Your name is an anagram for ARapeIt right
never thought about it

why don't you make an album Nick
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dj_MiP7IPU |
added some more crap to it
you have such high self esteem
does anyone know if Shallow Eyes is any good? I was recommended them but I'm always iffy about checking out pe stuff
what PE do you like?
umm I'm super inexperienced with PE, I've listened to Prurient, Brethren and some of Bastard Noise's more PE orientated stuff and that's about it. I quite like what I've heard, so long as I'm in the right state of mind for it, Brethren is a perhaps a little too controversial in its hate for me though
oh and I have Pure's Fetor too
did anybody listen to my ambient album
oh and I have Pure's Fetor too
best p.e. rate on rym foo! get kliestwahr-myth and macronympha-grind. I've never listened to Koufar before but I heard he's also one of the best and gets a lot of comparisons to Brethren, but less "controversial" from what I'm hearing. |
it's too much effort to rate things on rym, like i still have thousands of albums to rate it's just depressing
and okay, I'll check out those albums and see if they tickle my fancy |
rym is fucking stupid
I like that it gives you recs based on what you've rated highly
a bit like last.fm in that sense but better |
i honestly don't give a shit what other people think about things
did anybody listen to my ambient album
tl;dd |
it's targeted at the broadband user demographic
I would listen but my internet is about as fast as Bitchforks for 2 weeks out of every month

sucks 2 out of the maybe 4 or 5 people who might enjoy it can't listen
next time i'm at the library I might download and load it on a flash drive
it might be my best work. it was pretty much just an exercise in seeing how much i could manipulate bass sounds. and i didn't use any drum beats bc i was putting myself to a little personal test to see if i could make an entire album that didn't rely on beats to give a sense of movement and propulsion, yet still retained those elements. my one friend compared the way i used bass to drive the music along to the band suicide, who i'm not too familiar with so i can't comment on how right or wrong he was.

idk why i've taken to this song all of a sudden http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt95XOIYVVU |
what's some stuff that's like that but idk, darker? kind of like duran duran on their better songs.
i think i meant depeche mode btw
Absolute Body Control
The Klinik Thomas Leer & Robert Rental The Neon Judgement Borghesia I guess, band is a very new wave/post-punk kind of EBM esp. earlier on. That one song makes me think of Public Image Ltd's Metal Box album for some reason, though it is much darker and there is a distinct lack of synths. you heard this yet
