LifeInABox 11-10-2007 07:13 PM

Geiler music I have decided isn't as good as I thought.

i am the robots 11-10-2007 07:13 PM

It's great for death metal.

tbh though, random blogs on blogsearch, usually, though those [first] two are the most frequent to come up.

2muchket! 11-10-2007 07:15 PM

Parkway Drive are allrite. Vocals aren't too bad tho'. I've heard much worse.

Norma Jean for instance.

i am the robots 11-10-2007 07:16 PM

Norma Jean's vocals are better imo.

Dimmu Burger 11-11-2007 01:42 PM

I'm going to see As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Haste The Day and Through The Eyes Of The Dead tonight. I haven't seen TTEOTD yet, so i'm pretty pumped for that!

4yearpro? 11-11-2007 01:47 PM

Baltimore actually. So its like NYC but with more murder and heroin and less cool stuff.

4yearpro? 11-11-2007 01:50 PM

o ye. i thought it was the 12th. i cant trust my computer's calendar anymore. i guess it got messed up when i set it an hour back 2 weeks ago

Dimmu Burger 11-11-2007 01:58 PM

So I got a few new metalcore cds yesterday when i was going in pirate overdrive: Arise And Ruin, Anterrabae, Burn Down Rome, Evita, and Oh Sleeper. Haven't listened to them all yet. Oh Sleeper is good though.

Also got a bunch of deathcore to see what the scenester fuss is all about, but I dunno which thread to put that in.

4yearpro? 11-11-2007 02:01 PM

lol never heard of any of those bands but ill check out their myspaces as im trying to listen to more bands

Yeah I am too, but I went a bit overboard. I downloaded 1.4 gigs yesterday. That 160 gig iPod would come in handy about now.

4yearpro? 11-11-2007 02:10 PM

annotations of an autopsy, anterior, armed for battle, bloodjinn, the demonstration, forever in terror, from the shallows, salt the wound, sylosis, viatrophy, with blood comes cleansing

Fall is a popular one. Also, "November", "September", "December" and "Butterfly".

Nostalgia 11-11-2007 04:36 PM

Yeah, metalcore bands seem to like months of the year.

Prepare for their new vocalist to butcher all of Anthony's material and perform mediocrely on his own material.

You haven't seen him live dude. What he did to Beneath Dying Skies was enough to warrant murder.

I listened to Rifles At Recess earlier, it's uncanny how similar their musicianfship is to my old band.

I saw that show.
Me and you were in the same place at the same time.

I might have punched you in the face or something.

As I Lay Dying dragged on way too long.
I even said that at their merch table.

All that Remains and Haste the Day were awesome.

Through the Eyes of the Dead played a decent show.

i am the robots 11-11-2007 07:54 PM

TTEOTD's live show is NOTHING compared to what it was a few years ago.

DJTeeLay 11-11-2007 08:03 PM
TTEOTD's live show is NOTHING compared to what it was a few years ago.
I expected better of them.

They sounded so much more generic live.

i am the robots 11-11-2007 08:10 PM

They were a lot better when Dayton, Anthony, and Rich were still in the band.
