How can you screw up EQ'ing?

BenJammin 10-09-2006 10:24 PM
One day I'm going to learn to actually EQ my amp.
just roll a dice. whatever the number comes up, set your knobs to.

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 10:26 PM

Well, I dont know. I just can't make anything sound good no matter what I do.

Why do you think I play acoustic?

I remeber on my Ashdown i could turn the EQ off which was kinda nice

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 10:34 PM

I still love your crude canadian humour, ben.

I just figure if I can't get a tone I like with a 1983 fender and an eden then Im doing something wrong...

My fender through soups ampeg on the other hand sounded godly.

Spaceman Spiff 10-09-2006 10:36 PM

Maybe you don't like your Eden.

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 10:36 PM

Why wouldn't I like my eden?

HELLonWHEELS 10-09-2006 10:38 PM

What kind of eden is it? Nemisis, combo, half stack.......

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 10:39 PM

David Eden WT550.

Spaceman Spiff 10-09-2006 10:40 PM
Why wouldn't I like my eden?
Because you can't get tones out of it that you like. However, you can with the Ampeg.

HELLonWHEELS 10-09-2006 10:41 PM
David Eden WT550.
what cab?

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 10:41 PM

Only when soup EQs it...

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 10:42 PM

An Avatar 4x10, there in which lies the problem.

Between an Ibanez SR506 and a crappy cab like this Avatar Im screwed.

Its ok though, Epifani for christmas.

Efrim 10-09-2006 10:52 PM

I dislike the policy of study sheets. On a happier note, I have a very fresh apple in my hand.

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 10:54 PM

Hah

In cashier training I found out Im suposed to offer to cut and clean produce samples for customers.

GAy.

Sounds good, i have not really been playing that much over the last few days, bit of a slump I think.

Speaking of joke songs, the thing I found really funny was that the bassist for Wierd Al Yankovic is actually a virtuoso of sorts. Phenominal player.

HELLonWHEELS 10-10-2006 12:24 AM

When i say joke songs i mean things like The Star Spangled Banner, Pink Panther, The guitar part for Crazy Train on Bass, Under the Bridge(guitar part again on bass) stuff like that. I;m realy getting into learning bass stuff on guitar. I'm so ready to kick some noobs as at guitar center i really can't wait.

I would love to actually experience a guitar centre first hand. The stories I hear coming out of those places sound hilarious.

As for the kicking part. Let them be, sucking badly has a way of catching up with you regardless of who you are.

blizzard 10-10-2006 03:08 AM

Grrrr... Second day back at school, I've been given so many assignments to do.

Also me and my girlfriend broke up on Saturday night. Well she broke up with me because she has a lot happening without having a boyfriend. We're still friends and still talk.

thats nuts, why didn't you just ease it off and say like 'we should put our relationship second until things ease up' ?

I did suggest that but her number one priority at the moment is her friends. She won't see them that much after this year because shes going to QA (nerd school) and she really wants to spend as much time as possible with them before that happens. Also with all her other problems shes not really looking for a relationship at the moment.

Yeah, I won't pretend that I wasn't upset when it happened but I'm happy to just be a friend (I would rather be a friend and still talk then be in a relationship that ends with us hating each other and never speaking) and I just want to see that she in time finds happiness. Maybe oneday we will get back together but who knows, I'm not one to dwell too much on the past because its unhealthy.

i agree, you can't chang ethe past but that doesn't mean you can't have a happy future

Yeah, exactly. But it doesn't mean you can't learn from the past though.

Anyway, I'm off. Bye.
