Rollo47 09-02-2004 09:26 AM

Just for some conversation.....

Suggest something for me to do with my girlfriend for our one year anniversary... it's coming up soon.

Putting it in her butt is not an option.

Wintermute 09-02-2004 09:34 AM

What was your first date? An extra extravagent version of that may work.

Rollo47 09-02-2004 09:40 AM

First date was really nothing though...... movie, and hanging around in the city, looking in shops etc. As far as I can see, there's no real extra extravagent version of that, without going to Paris or something.

Wintermute 09-02-2004 10:00 AM

Good point... How did you meet her?

alienking84 09-02-2004 10:05 AM

to rollo-Show up at her door with some rosses. Take her to the movie of her choice, then take her to some fancy resturant. Oh yeah, if it isn't obvious, pay for the whole night.

BassiclyLow 09-02-2004 10:07 AM
Oh yeah, if it isn't obvious, pay for the whole night.
so that's why none of my dates go well,

alienking84 09-02-2004 10:09 AM
so that's why none of my dates go well,
 Well you don't always have to buy everything. But on anniversaries(sp?) it just seems much more polite. Know what I mean?

Wintermute 09-02-2004 10:11 AM

I've never yet managed to pay for everything. She always seems to find a way to pay part of it. The best I've managed so far is paying more than half. (I refused to take money from her for cinema tickets, and then she went to the toilet and came back with popcorn for both of us...)

I'm not complaining too vehemently, I'm poor!

alienking84 09-02-2004 10:15 AM

It's not always a bad thing if she pays for some stuff, like the popcorn, or a drink or something, but all the major things, like getting into the movies, we should pay for. Also, that prevents stares from the guy giving you the tickets:lol:

BassiclyLow 09-02-2004 10:17 AM

I work at a convienience store and i got this couple in and she bought him condems and ya should seen the look on his face it was hilarious....

Espbassor 09-02-2004 10:17 AM

Rollo: boat + lake/river/body of water + nice day + serenade with a song you wrote for her (might have to go acoustic guitar there) = teh win :p

Does anyone know what album the song "When I want to get funky" by Victor Wooten is on? I don't think it's on any of his solo albums.

Rice is good. We eat it excessively in my house, since my dad is asian.

Wintermute 09-02-2004 10:45 AM

^^
So do we, after a stint living in Asia.

AfroMan 09-02-2004 10:50 AM

Foxfire 09-02-2004 10:51 AM

Meh, my mom tries to get us into brown rice. But my dad's into white rice and we don't really like brown all that much.
You guys seriously need to listen to Elvis Costello.

joe
Yeah I know, I've heard so many good things about him, but I haven't listen to much of his stuff, I've only heard "She" (I think it was called)

So, any suggestions on what should I listen to from him? :thumb:

Pick her up with a rose or 2, somewhat dressed up to take her to a shnazzy restaraunt with her favorite type of food, at the end of the dinner give her that present that she's been eyeing for the last month or two...
Take her home, give her a foot, back, and shoulder massage.

He's never been allowed back in the kitchen since:smash:

Foxfire 09-02-2004 11:31 AM

Not only do I not have a girlfriend...

RnM is full of retards, with all the pointless posts and spaming in the pit it confuses me why only a few people have 10k posts in there, the politics rorum is interesting, but its two heated, and some ignorance abounds, the jazz/funk forum is nearly dead all the time.

The bass forum is where its at.

Foxfire 09-02-2004 12:03 PM

Indeed.

Spamz0r.
