Agreed. It's just plain weird, at best. At its worst, it's an album filler. :p Still, it's Sabbath.

I will always love Soundgarden's rendition of "Into the Void". They are the only other band that could pull that off and still sound like themselves. That song was, is, and always will always be remembered for its sheer innovation. I can actually say that it's my all-time fave Sabbath song.
Soundgarden's cover of that song is one of the best covers ever.
Maybe a few exceptions but it's up there... :)

Could anyone recomend any good songs from the dio era. Actually perhaps suggest the best Dio/Sabbath album. I've heard some of Dios stuff before but to me his sabbath just isn't anywhere near a good. But Is it worth listening to more (serious question there) ?

ToRidTheDisease 03-25-2005 12:45 PM

Mob Rules is good.

kirk_wylde 03-25-2005 01:00 PM

cheers

/me is late

The best Dio album to get would be Live Evil, that way you get picks from Heaven and Hell, Mob Rules and stuff from the Ozzy years.

Good songs by Dio in Sabbath:

Die Young
Neon Knights
TV Crimes
I
Computer God
The Sign of the Southern Cross
Heaven and Hell
Mob Rules
Over and Over

Josh 03-25-2005 02:43 PM

I, TV crimes, Heaven and hell & computer god are the only Dio songs from that list I've heard, theyre great.
/has dehumanizer saved on pc

What Dio albums do you actually have brum?

Brew 03-25-2005 06:03 PM

Heaven and Hell
Mob Rules
Live Evil
Dehumanizer

rippa32 03-26-2005 03:24 AM

All of them then. What is better the heaven and hell era or the dehuminizer album?

Brew 03-26-2005 03:58 AM

Hmm.

Heaven and Hell is probably better than Dehumanizer, its rock solid from start to finish whereas Dehumanizer is a bit meh in some places. Also, I don't like how the drums sound on Dehumanizer.

I still think Live Evil is the best Dio-era album.

ToRidTheDisease 03-26-2005 04:12 AM

Heaven and Hell is pretty good.

I'm so tired. :-/

Brew 03-26-2005 04:25 AM

I need to shit, shower and if I can be arsed: shave.

I'm going out in just over an hour to buy stuff for monday's party.

:)

ToRidTheDisease 03-26-2005 04:35 AM

I'm going out tomorrow (today) to get some guitar cables, and look around at some pedals/amps.

Brew 03-26-2005 09:11 AM

Groovey.

I've got myself some Amazonion mushrooms for monday's party :)

Isnt Ward on Heaven and Hell and Appice on dehuminizer? If so that would explain the better drum sound on Heaven and Hell.

clown_phobia 03-27-2005 05:54 AM

I really like ozzy osbourne's vocals, they really add a nice british classic rock touch that I love. This is true for Iron Maiden aswell.

King_Karl 03-27-2005 06:32 AM

I have just downloaded a video of War Pigs live in 1970. It's the best thing I have ever seen. Long live Sabbath.

Is it a live video?

Geezers website should be done soon for anyone that is interested, also i think Joe Seigler is making it.

It all goes down to how they mixed the drums, on Dehumanizer they went a bit meh with it.

Bill Ward is indeed on Heaven and Hell, he left the band about half way through the tour for that album.

Does anyone agree that Supernaut is the best thing ever?
It's certainly the best thing to come out of Britain, Europe in fact.

King_Karl 03-28-2005 02:49 PM

I actually got it from Win MX

JACKROXYOU 03-28-2005 05:58 PM

ToRidTheDisease 03-28-2005 07:23 PM

clown_phobia 03-29-2005 04:15 AM
