Lets get this thread going. I should post in it more.

I got alot of Floyd live, I got some old rare shows, I got some unreleased Syd stuff, i got alot from the 1975 tour where they play the entire darkside of the moon, as well as other things, like You Gotta Be Crazy which turns into Dogs. I got some from 1977, Montreal 1977 great show. They play most of Animals other than Sheep, great version of Pigs(three different ones). I got The Wall live from 1980. And some other tours from the 1980's.

Did you get that off of ebay? I think I have seen that on there.

ArtificialLife 03-24-2005 02:26 PM

any of you guys ever seen any of the floyd cover bands? I saw The Machine a while ago.
They completely blew me away with Pigs, One of these Days, and Echoes

magicbus 03-24-2005 02:27 PM

I saw The Surrogate Band (www.thesurrogateband.com i think). They were very good. I hope to catch another show soon.

slowhand 03-24-2005 02:32 PM

I haven't been as lucky. Living in Puerto Rico can sometimes become such a drag.

magicbus 03-24-2005 02:37 PM

I didn't know you lived in Puerto Rico

Thanks for the Pompeii audio Modestbob. :thumb:

Yeah, well, that's why there's a short supply of Pink Floyd fans were I live and have only you guys to talk to about them. I wish a cover band would come here... It would be great.

sandman420 03-24-2005 02:50 PM

If you got msn i could send it to you, or we could trade. I don't want to upload it because it is really huge and all the songs are separate.

Wow what the hell did i say, sorry they do play Sheep it actually starts it off.

magicbus 03-24-2005 03:14 PM

Holy ****. Yea the Pompeii screaming is definently chilling. I never realized it because I'm always paying attention to how Roger does it, not the actual scream itself. Yea, that was sweet.

Modestbob 03-24-2005 03:23 PM

I have some videos on my computer if any of you are intrested. here i will list them:
Welcome To The Machine (a music video that looks to be from MTV2, it is a animated trippy video)

Pink Floyd- Grandchester Meadows Live At The Fillmore West 1970

I will definately trade with you, I dont have AIM though, do you have msn?

The Bandstand is good i saw it.

pigonthewing82 03-24-2005 04:18 PM

You know I was thinking, and Pink Floyds early songs have a lot of emotion in them. I mean I can feel the intensity of the song, and they almost take you on a journy. This drops off after Dark Side of the Moon. I mean they had a few songs like that, but none that did it as well as they could in their old days. Shine On comes close, but it doesn't hit it they way a song like Echoes or Saucerful of Secrets hits me.

For me Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Wish You Were Here are very emotionally charge.

this is Pink Floyd- Grandchester Meadows Live At The Fillmore West 1970 video
I uploaded it for a trade and figured I would share.

Kingofdudes 03-24-2005 06:39 PM

Those bootleg DVDs need to come in, I really want to trade for some shows :-/

freakmeeko 03-24-2005 06:44 PM

Anyone know some Floyd songs with good Keyboard solos in them? I know Wright is one of those keys players that doesn't have to solo to prove it's talent, but I just need my fix.

Wearing the Inside Out
Dogs

His work throughout Echoes is quite good aswell.

slowhand 03-24-2005 06:46 PM

Yeah, I like Wright on Echoes. I think the song started out because of something he was playing on the keyboards and they built the whole song around it.
