I know

You didn't happen to see him live, did you?
No, but I was chilling with him and instead of giving me 10 he gave me 15, that's when I clued in.

I didn't notice the connections from pulp fiction to reservoir dogs.

Glitterati 06-29-2005 08:52 PM
Pulp Fiction. Go see it now!
Ah, yes, slipped my mind. Speaking of films, has anyone seen Leon? I just watched it, insanely good.

Badmoon 06-29-2005 08:53 PM

Yea, Mr. Blonde's name is Vic Vega. He may have intended on them being brothers, but I'm not sure. Mike Madsen (Mr. Blonde) was actually supposed to play Vincent too.

I would be very interested if Tarantino made a movie about the Vega brothers.

Badmoon 06-29-2005 08:54 PM
What? How do you make this connection? I haven't seen the movies in awhile.
Here is a connection possibly done on purpose:

Mr. Blonde AKA Vic Vega -- Vincent Vega

Not on purpose:

Mr. White AKA Larry Dimmick -- Jimmie Dimmick

That would be amazingly awesome. I can't wait for his next film, though it may be awhile.

Funny how there was all this Eagles discussion while I was watching a concert of theirs on Bravo.

Classic Rock- My Life

I have spent my entire Life around the wonderful music of Classic rock, In the whomb I was introduced to bands such as AC/DC, The Guess who and The Beatles. My father a know Gutiarist in various places and My mother Vocals and Gutiar of a local band. Rock'n'Roll as i knew it was the only way of life, I lived it. It was my childhood and teen life, my world. I first picked up a bass at age 8 and a gutiar a 11. At 12 i went through a blues/jazz stage where i learned Saxaphone. My first band was when I was 14, with smome originals but mostly covers of great bands like Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd and the Doors where iplayed various instruments. Most people would consider it a fun hobbie or just favorite genre, to me it is my life.

White_heat 06-29-2005 09:14 PM

You really need to see Clerks, it's amazing.

Glitterati 06-29-2005 09:21 PM

Clerks is good, but I seem tp be part of the 1% who didn't like it THAT much. Mallrats and Dogma are way better.

Badmoon 06-29-2005 09:21 PM

Clerks is great, so is Mallrats; I use to be really into Mallrats.

I use to be a fan of Jason Lee (Mallrats) back in my skateboarding days. He was a great skater, though he retired before my time.

I saw Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind yesterday -- amazing movie.

White_heat 06-29-2005 09:23 PM

I never liked Dogma, Ive been wanting to see Mallrats.

Glitterati 06-29-2005 09:25 PM

I've heard a lot of good things about Eternal Sunshine, I'll have to see it.

You know what a good classic rock-based movie is? Almost Famous.

White_heat 06-29-2005 09:28 PM

Thats a cool movie, another good Classic Rock movie Is Detroit Rock City, it reminds me so much of me and my friends, not a good quality movie, I just identify with it so much it makes me laugh. Same with Dazed and Confused.

Broken Arrow 06-29-2005 09:28 PM

Loved Mallrats.

I think Jason Lee is in the Enemy of the State too. He gets hit by a firetruck.

Illmatic 06-29-2005 09:29 PM

Whaaaat? Clerks was so much better than both of those.

ALmost famous is the best movie ever. And Jason lee is the man.

Illmatic 06-29-2005 09:35 PM

Spinal Tap = greatest rock-based movie of all time, no questions asked, period.

Badmoon 06-29-2005 09:36 PM

Spinal Tap is so overplayed and quoted that I can't even bair to watch it anymore. I can't say the same for A Mighty Wind though. ;)

Glitterati 06-29-2005 09:36 PM
And Jason lee is the man.
He is...back when I was into skateboarding, I was into him.

np: Frank Zappa - Broken Hearts Are For Assholes. Gotta love any song that repeats "Ram it up your poopchute."

Glitterati 06-29-2005 09:36 PM
Spinal Tap = greatest rock-based movie of all time, no questions asked, period.
I've seen little bits of it, I want to see it all the way through.

RockAndRoll 06-29-2005 09:37 PM

 Ram it up your ppopchute. Anyways I must say Almost famous > Spinal Tap, but Spinal Tap is still good.
