what came first the slam or the gore

Deth 03-13-2010 03:04 PM

slam is responsible for the gore

Anthracks 03-13-2010 03:04 PM

gore

adb 03-13-2010 03:05 PM

speaking of suffo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeT85ayQKPI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmmIwl0yFbI

these vids are 10 min each but easily worth it to see the few minutes of suffo footage

Frank getting trolled irl is priceless

witchxrapist 03-13-2010 03:06 PM
i would propound the opposite. that is if i made sweeping generalizations but that is just petty

plus slams are generally a type of breakdown soo
maybe yew dont get it idk meng

DBlitz 03-13-2010 09:03 PM
i make my opinion of music before i even hear it based on what theyre labeled as and whos labeling them as it
well this seems to be the case, because i'm pretty sure a lot of you are quick to hate on a lot of brutal death metal, probably before even listening to it (suffocation being one of the very few exceptions) and then it turns out people here enjoy wormed. its just surprising.

Dimmu Burger 03-13-2010 10:00 PM

I luv me some Brutal Death.

rasputin 03-13-2010 10:38 PM

i dislike pretty much all brutal death

Anthracks 03-13-2010 10:50 PM

have u herd pretty much all brutal deth

DBlitz 03-13-2010 10:52 PM
i dislike pretty much all brutal death
suffocation

rasputin 03-13-2010 11:09 PM

yeah i was gonna say except suffo, but they dont really sound much like most 'modern' brutal death

the main gripe i have with brutal death is the vocals anyway, so yeah

Anthracks 03-13-2010 11:16 PM

ya they dooooooooo

da vocals are just a matter of conditioning

rasputin 03-13-2010 11:21 PM

believe me ive tried, just cant do it

bubblegumz 03-14-2010 12:15 AM

because wormed sound like most bdm bands

DBlitz 03-14-2010 07:50 AM

they aren't radically different from most bdm bands

Pete 03-14-2010 08:14 AM
This is such an efficient system because it saves you the time of having to listen to the crappy bands anyway.
it also saves you the time of having to listen to supposedly 'good' music, you can just assume the buzz is correct and pretend you like what everyone else likes

its quite nifty indeed

Stevie 03-14-2010 09:44 AM
have u herd pretty much all brutal deth
i hate this logic

Nepenthe 03-14-2010 01:49 PM

likewise you can just assume that nobody knows what theyre talking about and automatically dislike anything you hear people talking about

Dimmu Burger 03-14-2010 02:23 PM
ya they dooooooooo

Lol @ conditioning. Great way to put it.

masscows 03-14-2010 02:24 PM

I like low gutturals myself tbh. It's not so much the vocals that ruin the music in BDM for me, it's usually the music that ruins the music.

Now why on earth would I do that!?

adb 03-14-2010 02:37 PM

I was playing hour of penance, severed savior, and a few others last night at work :thumb:

Stevie 03-14-2010 02:39 PM

It's more like background music to me. I could never really listen to it and not be doing something else.

Angmar 03-14-2010 03:11 PM

I just prefer to listen to good music no matter what I'm doing. :D

Pete 03-14-2010 03:13 PM
Now why on earth would I do that!?
well i do it to save time and harddrive space

Txus 03-14-2010 03:14 PM

There's better background music tbh.

Nepenthe 03-14-2010 10:26 PM
i was playing obituary to a work colleague today :thumb:

I just prefer to listen to good music no matter what I'm doing. :D
I'm really careful about playing stuff out so I tend to save my favorites for when I'm paying more attention.

FatalEnergy 03-14-2010 11:53 PM
