To quote Ron Burgandy, "Great Caesar's Ghost" It's a song by a small British band called The Beatles that you may have heard of :p

You need to buy the White Album, maybe I'll upload it tonight or tomorrow afternoon.
I could never quite get into the White Album, minus a few songs. I like Abbey Road, Revolver, MMT, and Sgt. Pepper's all much better.

White Album is a better Beatles album, but not by much.

That's what they want you to think.
It was to show how much of a fanboy you are towards Barrett, as slowhand is to Clapton.

EDIT: What JPJ said
How would that show how much I'm a fanboy towards Syd? I never say that nor think that.

robo2448 06-29-2005 07:22 PM

White Album is my favorite just because of the diversity, but all the Beatles albums are all nearly the same in greatness. It seems like a lot of people kind of worship the White Album like me or they don't really like it that much.
How would that show how much I'm a fanboy towards Syd? I never say that nor think that.
You've stated a few times "I think Syd Barrett is the greatest songwriter" or other stuff similar to that.

Badmoon 06-29-2005 07:26 PM
If anyone says Jesus = hitler they are an idiot.
This is true.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 07:28 PM

^I also agree
You've stated a few times "I think Syd Barrett is the greatest songwriter" or other stuff similar to that.
That's different than saying he's god. (IMO)

Oh well I'm over it.....The White Album is their best IMO.

TheDMV 06-29-2005 07:31 PM

I have the White album, well, my bro does. I sort of remember that part now though.

Guess I'm paying too much attention to the music

Broken Arrow 06-29-2005 07:39 PM
To piss you off.
haha, yeah.

I'm just joking though. I'm one of the few people who dig Syd, just not as much as you do.

Raw Power is sweet Woodstock.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 07:42 PM

Raw Power is my favorite Punk album. Anyone like London Calling?

Ha, I guess you need to listen to it again. There are like 35 songs on there though so I guess we can forgive you.

TheDMV 06-29-2005 07:45 PM

I knew that, I should get a cookie.

I don't like London Calling, I do like Raw Power though. I'm in need of Kick out the Jams.

NP: Miles Davis-So What

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 07:50 PM

It was kinda rebel of them to mix pop and punk like that I mean punk was meant to be anti-pop and them mixing the two was brave. Considering their reputation before they made it. They created a true monster though. :upset:

I wouldn't really use brave to describe it, kind of works though. I think stupid works better.

And who can guess my avatar? You should be shot if you don't know it.

Woah, there's some Kurt Russell movie on, and they're in a bar and Jeff Healey is on stage.

It took me nearly two years to get into London Calling, and as of now, I'm still not into all of it.

Listen to "Rudie Can't Fail", that's a great mix of Punk and Reggae.

Bob Marley was actually largely influenced by The Clash.

What if you already have it? You can't just send me off in the dark like this!

EDIT: about that movie it's not Kurt Russell, it's Patric Swayze (sp?). I always get them mixed up.

Jam2Me 06-29-2005 08:14 PM

Anyone check out that Traveling Wilburys stuff?

Very hard to come by. It got overshadowed by Eric Clapton and God or whatever, its music at its finest. If you guys like it let me know I can make some suggestions and let you check out another AWESOME hard to come by CD that none of you have.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-29-2005 08:14 PM

Badmoon: That's suprising to hear. Who's in your avatar?

I actully had Vol 1 but I didn't like it so I deleted it.
