OK, so as most of you know, my J bass is on its death bed (the lady friend and I were in my basement "doing stuff" and her leg jerked and knocked over my bass, which landed and made an ear-splitting sound. Since then, it's been completely ****ed. The intonation is screwed and the notes just sound awful). After Christmas, I'll have some dough for a new bass. I'd say maybe around 500, plus the 3,700 (give or take) I have in my account.

I don't want to spend more than 800.

Right now, I'm looking at this sweet Spector. I think it's a Studio.

Let me see if I can find it on MF or something...

I know how you feel, Fox. I've got some concert tix I bought for next year, and then with buying the house and the new job... I don't need a **** thing for Christmas!

And I hate giving money/gift certificates, it feels like such a cop-out. But my MIL decided that that's what we're doing this year. :/ Oh well. As long as I get Home Deport certificates I'll be good. We're going to need a LOT of them! :lol:

Try goin used Euro. SO MUCH Better.

I can't say I wouldn't like, you know, all the rig stuff I want, but it's not a necessity...

I like the Legend series. Of course, the only Spector a Guitar Center around here has is a Legend...I tried a Legend 4 with a Bubinga top and loved it. Crispy slap and pop tone, wonderfully percussive mutes.
