I've never seen any music related movie besides The Last Waltz and Band of Gypsys. I'd like to see A Hard Day's Night, Help!, Tommy.

Broken Arrow 10-22-2005 11:23 AM

You havent even seen Woodstock or Festival Express!?!

Fnnrqwin 10-22-2005 11:37 AM

Does anybody have some Pink Floyd albums? I still need A Momentary Lapse of Reason, Zabriskie Point, A Nice Pair, A Collection Of Great Dance Songs, The Final Cut, Works, Delicate Sound Of Thunder, Is There Anybody Out There: The Wall Live, and really any Gilmour and Barret albums availiable. I know it would be damn near impossible for somebody to upload all of these (unprotected too, as the Barret album I got in my inbox was protected)...but if it did happen it would be insanely great.

Oh yeah, 2 of the QMS albums I recieved were corrupted...

PinkFreud 10-22-2005 11:38 AM
PG&F is a great album. I can upload Di Meolas "Elegant Gypsy" if you want. It's great.
I have "Is there Anybody Out There" and "The Final Cut". I also have "The Madcap Laughs". I wont be able to upload either today though, if no one can do it earlier I will be able to later. I also have a bootleg "Pink Days and the Fat Old Suns" (only disc 3, DSotM live '73), and a rarites CD Called Rado Sessions. And I downloaded a thing called "Psychedelic Sessions".

Fnnrqwin 10-22-2005 11:49 AM

Nice. If you're able to upload any of those later tonight, or tomorrow I'd really be happy.

magicbus 10-22-2005 01:08 PM

I can upload A Momentary Lapse of Reason, Delicate Sound of Thunder, and Gilmour's s/t album.

MBS 10-22-2005 01:14 PM

Deus - The Jake Shimabukuro album is on it's way, and I'll get "Out of the Blue" for you later this week.

A Delicate Sound of Thunder (the video, not audio file) is being sent as I type. Yay, I finally sent something!

So I just got back from my Quaker Meeting's jumble sale. I had to spend like three hours cleaning up, but I got a really nice arm chair, two lamps and a bunch of books. They had some old records, but somebody else bought them before I could. I also got soacked, because its pooring here.

You are like, my favorite poster/uploader ever. Thanks a ton.

Magicbus, could you send out Gilmour?

Edit: I have a lot of Floyd, if people want that uploaded. Somewhere in the range of 25-30 albums, including the Symphonic Floyd. If anyone wants some, let me know. I don't know what's being uploaded for Fnnrqwin or not, so let me know if anything is needed.
I can upload A Momentary Lapse of Reason, Delicate Sound of Thunder, and Gilmour's s/t album.
What are your opinions on Gilmour's s/t? I have it on vinyl, and I think I've listened to it all the way through once...and then only the first side a couple times (too lazy to flip it over). It never really wowed me or anything, it was actually kind of depressing (in a non-"Pink Floyd is depressing" sort of way).

Oh I made the best tea ever today! It's really simple, but I used all natural ingredients: Fresh green tea leaves that I get from this Chinese Traditional Herbs shop, All natural honey that we get from my parent's farmer friend, lemons (zested, and cut up and thrown in...heh heh), and several blueberries I found in my fridge that I threw in. It's sooooo good! :)

I didn't get it. My e-mail is Robo2448@yahoo.com

The video for DSOT would be cool.

I'm not a big fan of Gilmour's s/t. I don't think I've actually listened to it all the way once. Some songs are good, but without Floyd it's kind of boring and bland. I should give it another listen thought to see if it grows on me.

magicbus 10-22-2005 02:42 PM

I just sent out those two Floyd albums, so I'll do Gilmour's now.
It never really wowed me or anything, it was actually kind of depressing (in a non-"Pink Floyd is depressing" sort of way).
Yea, it isn't the greatest album I've ever heard, but it still has some cool guitar work from Gilmour. I wasn't really expecting much else, Gilmour wasn't the greatest lyricist.

Was it better than Celstial Seasonings?

Woodstock 10-22-2005 02:47 PM

I have 8 new albums to listen to. Jeez, and I might be going to a record show tomorrow.

You're quite the tea fan... Oh, you used natural ingrediants, thats cool.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-22-2005 02:53 PM

Thickasbrick: What's with you and tea(that has no shrooms)?

I have this 2 disc bootleg of Duane Allman and Eric Clapton and I'm extremly disappointed. You'd think almost 160 min of jaming between 2 legends would be amazing right? Actualy not, the solos are very boring and very un-Duane Allman like and there are absoultly no vocals and the songs last for 10-20 min each. Very disappointing.....

Woodstock 10-22-2005 03:01 PM

I can upload Wishbone Ash's Argus tonight, so even more music for all.

I'd keep waiting for it.

That sucks about the Clapton/Allman bootleg Schyma. Anyone have any Blind Faith bootlegs? I finally bought Blind Faith s/t today. I've had it on my computer for a while, but I saw it in a store for the first time in my life today, so I had to buy it. It's the kind of album I feel I need to own a real copy of.
And the Hippie award for today goes to....

Me and my friend's surpassed Celestial Seasonings long ago! They still make the best bagged tea though, me and my friends specialize in loose tea (it's a lot fresher and more flavourful).

And I'm not sure why I like tea so much, all my close friends do actually...I've never really thought that it might seem odd to other people. Our parents think we are wacko because sometimes we'll spend an entire night just making new types of tea.

I've been listening to Bringin' It All Back Home about twice a day for the past couple weeks...it's bound to wear out eventually, but I just can't stop. What albums are you guys hooked on lately?

Walrus Gumboot 10-22-2005 03:32 PM

Hey look Schyma, another Texan Hippie!

I keep on trying to upload John Scofield's A Go-Go in vain. Every time it doesn't work, my resolve gets stronger. Even though no one asked for it. And nobody will probably download it because they have already been on album binges, but still, I upload

EDIT: Heh, tea alchemists

You might have a future in that. My dad knows a guy that started a tea company, and now they are served in Buckingham Palace

hippiemusic101 10-22-2005 03:34 PM

once more bearshare or limewire, music at ur fingertips

I've never heard it, if you ever get it uploaded....you should send it to me for sure. I've listened to every album that has been sent to me, although everyone is saying that they have craploads of albums in their inboxes today...I haven't checked mine. And I've actually never made mushroom tea before Schyma, but next time we get mushrooms we are making mushroom tea. Mushrooms aren't very common around here in in the fall and winter, a new "shipment" of them comes in maybe every couple months and that has to feed the entire city. Regina likes its mushrooms too, so you gotta know when they are coming ahead of time so you can be sure to get some before they sell out.

edit- and Walrus, I actually plan on starting my own coffeeshop. It's gonna have hookah's in it too. The Kashmir Cafe, quality tea and tobacco. Heh heh. I daydream a lot. It's always weird calling you Walrus...haha, your name is Amanda isn't it? Can I call you Amanda instead of Walrus?
