Hey Scott, Koos won't be doing presale.

Today I picked up:
Think I Care - ST
Burn - ST
Generations Comp

Then I decided to start getting some vinyl for once:
Start Today LP
Go It Alone - The Only Blood... on clear
SD: Animosity is exactly the kind of band I've been looking for. You can clearly hear the hardcore and death in them. Most bands like BTBAM and Glass Casket seem to lean more towards death than they do hardcore or metalcore. Those other bands I couldn't find anything for, unless I waited in queue behind hundreds of other people.
Ayat Akrass and Bodies In The Gears are both on MySpace.

SactoUnited 10-24-2005 09:18 PM

So my homecoming date fell through :(.

Special Brew 10-25-2005 01:18 AM
The Kodan Armada is from Louisville, no?
Yeah. Like I said, the northern part of the state is great, but the southern is crappy. L-ville is more than three hours away, which I can't make regularly.

Special Brew 10-25-2005 01:19 AM
Ayat Akrass and Bodies In The Gears are both on MySpace.
I'll go search for 'em. Thanks. :thumb:

SubtleDagger 10-25-2005 01:25 AM

Oh, and as much as I get flak for saying it, Killswitch Engage's Alive Or Just Breathing is also an album you should check out for that sort of stuff.

Special Brew 10-25-2005 01:45 AM

O.o

I'll check it out as well. I own The End Of Heartache and I'm ashamed of it. I'm guessing their older stuff was better then. :(

SubtleDagger 10-25-2005 01:48 AM

Alive or Just Breathing is just about a billion times better than End Of Heartache. Heartache is a huge embarassment given the other record.

I have like two songs on mp3 if you need me to send any.

Special Brew 10-25-2005 01:56 AM

Nah, I already have the abum going on Slsk. Thanks though.

Also, I was wondering why the name "Bodies In The Gears of the Apparus" sounded so familiar, and it's because I own the Dispised Icon split. :p

I couldn't find Ayat Akrass when I searched band names on Myspace, but I found the Purevolume, and everything is in spanish or something. :p

http://www.purevolume.com/AyatAkrass

They are extremely good though. Another band that has the exact sound I was looking for.

SubtleDagger 10-25-2005 01:58 AM

http://www.myspace.com/ayatakrass should work. They're Brazillian. But yeah, that's them.

Special Brew 10-25-2005 01:59 AM

Why didn't I try just adding them to the URL? Heh, I guess sometimes the most simple methods are the best.

Same songs as the Purevolume I believe.

EDIT: By any chance do you know what that card symbol next to the thread title on the forum page means? It's right near where the thread's rating stars are.

EDIT again: Nevermind that... It means I'm subscribed to the thread.

SubtleDagger 10-25-2005 02:06 AM

Yeah. Their sound quality kind of blows but they're awesome. Playing with Napalm Death too.

I got 11 hours of sleep last night. Fell asleep right before 8 watching Seinfeld.

40 oz 2 freedom 10-25-2005 12:52 PM

Fall Out Boy, Starting Line, and MCS were pretty tight last night.

I liked that album. I haven't listened to it in longgg time though.

Special Brew 10-25-2005 02:53 PM

Jesus fucking christ... I just spent the last couple of hours messaging over 200 people on Darkstarlings.com and adding them as friends, trying to get them to come to the local show on the 6th and join our forums...

This better pay off or I will be pissed.

Gah, TSL must have been awesome.

Mute Print 10-25-2005 04:54 PM

Oh man. I wish I would have been able to go to that tour. Too bad it didn't come here.

The Starting Line is amazing live.

40 oz 2 freedom 10-25-2005 04:57 PM

A helluva lot better than last time I saw them. Them playing "Best of Me"....talk about takin' me back. I only saw the last 2 Motion City songs, but they were the best ones. Me and my friends cut in front of about 1000 people, literally. We just stood next to the line in the front and started moving with it. Some fat fuck 25 year old pop-punker said he was gonna hit us, but unfortunately he was a fat fuck 25 year old pop-punker.

40 oz 2 freedom 10-25-2005 04:57 PM

Oh yeah, and TSL covered "Sugar, We're Goin' Down".

cbmartinez 10-25-2005 05:02 PM

Haha, that's pretty funny.

RouteOne 10-25-2005 05:19 PM

UM, WOW GOOD.

What a prick.

NewKindofArmy03 10-25-2005 05:57 PM

I got a Pantera shirt at hot topic just now for $9. Also listened to the Tony Hawk soundtrack in there. The Senses Fail cover was EXACTLY like the original.

_Tyler 10-25-2005 05:58 PM

Which song did Senses Fail do?

NewKindofArmy03 10-25-2005 06:01 PM

Institutionalized. I prepared for the worst, but it wasnt bad from the half I listened to.

_Tyler 10-25-2005 06:08 PM

I thought that one was pretty bad...the best one was the TBS Descendents cover.

NewKindofArmy03 10-25-2005 07:19 PM

This sucks, I have to print 33 copies of something. Hopefully theres enough ink.
