I'm not a n00b
I didn't say all 05'ers are n00bs, just most.

Shred Danson 03-01-2005 12:12 PM

Oh, and also use a metronome, AH. I don't have an actual metronome, but I just use the artificial one that's built into my Guitar Pro program.

Jom 03-01-2005 12:17 PM

Okay, thanks ICB :)

Any other help is appreciated.

I have to go to my edu lecture downtown, so I'll be back this afternoon; unfortunately, I have a midterm and an assessment tomorrow, so it will be a rough study time ahead.

Take care, all

AH, I just signed up for lessons at Guitar Center. Maybe that would help you. It costs 22 bucks for a half hour lesson, which is kind of expensive, but I hear that you learn a lot.

Shred Danson 03-01-2005 12:19 PM

Later, AH.

I need work on my speed. And also improvising.

Shred Danson 03-01-2005 12:34 PM

I've never taken lessons. Self taught, bitch.

ATM 03-01-2005 12:35 PM

I just feel like I'm in a rut, and I figured they would help.

Six Foot Revolver 03-01-2005 12:42 PM

15,750th post.

Hello all.

Burdcheese 03-01-2005 12:58 PM

Hey Bartender. Whassup?

Bartender 03-01-2005 01:00 PM

Not much. Been quite ill today actually, so I missed my Jesus lecture this morning. Forced myself to go in for PolPhil though, which was cool.

And now I'm kinda bored, and hungry. Listening to Megadeth, contemplating playing Fallout 2. Yourself?

Burdcheese 03-01-2005 01:03 PM

Doing my first proper piece of work in ages - essay on life after death.
Listening to A Perfect Circle.

Watched the first 4 episodes of the X-Files this afternoon. That was a good show. I got into it too late though, so I'm starting again from the beginning.

Only 20 episodes until I have to go on a search for season 2...

Bartender 03-01-2005 01:09 PM

:( Essays.

I've got three due in in the next three weeks, I think. I'm not all that bothered though; end of last term I had to do three in three days, and that turned out okay.

Dancin' Man 03-01-2005 01:09 PM

NP Hollenthon - Premonition-Lex Talionis

I have a snowday. Cool.

I've been putting this one off for ages. It was meant to be in last Friday having been given a whole two weeks to do it, but I somehow managed to not get round to it.

I have another two in for Friday, both of which are for teachers who are a lot more strict about deadlines...

I'm screwed really. I have to fit those, a maths paper, and a haircut in after school this week.

Illmatic 03-01-2005 01:19 PM

Sup thread.

NP: Outkast - Rosa Parks

Illmatic 03-01-2005 01:21 PM

Today is the day where I have to drag my ass out of bed early but have my entire afternoon free.

Dancin' Man 03-01-2005 01:23 PM

I really should do my homework.

Who's read Black Boy? Quick, give me a summary!

Illmatic 03-01-2005 01:26 PM

What's one homework assignment?

I'd like to think that your dilemma would cause a brief absence from posting regularily, but I'm pretty sure i know better than that. :p
What's one homework assignment?
I don't exactly ever do my homework. I rely on my ability to take tests and quizzes with no previous knowledge of the subject and pass within the 90th percentile. Unfortunately, my English teacher uses homework as 50% of my grade and I have a habit of not doing it.

Eitri Is Berserk 03-01-2005 01:32 PM

Woo, hour early release. How are you all?

Bartender 03-01-2005 01:35 PM
What's one homework assignment?
Mine aren't homework assignments. I don't get homework assignments; if I get an essay to do, it's important, as it'll be for assessment.

Well, I'm assuming you're in college, so I can empathize. I actually have to do work in college.

Bartender 03-01-2005 01:42 PM

University, yeah.

Anyway, I'm off for a while. One of my flatmates is cooking food, and I don't want to miss out.
