Angry Balled Fists! 10-13-2005 01:35 PM

Man, these avatars are confusing
Waiting for packages to come is the most frustrating thing ever.

Right now I am waiting for:
Jackson 5 poster
Corpse Bride soundtrack
Tambourine
Bass Drum Mallets
Xylophone/Glockenspiel Mallets
Case for said percussion instruments
USB Thingy so I can direct record into my computer with my guitar
The Ultimate Fake Book

WHEN'S IT GONNA GET HERE?
It's worse when they should have arrived, but they are so far a few days late. :(
But all my cd's and dvd's I got from Amazon Marketplace imported from America arrived in like a week and a bit, which is faster than I expected.

B 10-13-2005 01:37 PM

Ha. I keep seeing you Dan and thinking you're Joel. But then I remember Joel is Vince :-\

Oz Rembrandt 10-13-2005 01:38 PM
It's only an Ibanez GSR200.
Cheap, but better than an Encore or Squire for the same price.
I just needed a new bass because my old one was broken, and I wasn't looking for anything too expensive.
Cool. Never played an Ibanez bass before.

I've ordered another Yamaha - BB414 :thumb:

Kif 10-13-2005 01:38 PM

Oh I get it now...

I ordered all the stuff like last week. Where is it? :upset:

Angry Balled Fists! 10-13-2005 01:47 PM

I'm listening to minor Threat.

Man, earlier i was listening to Rancid 2000, what a ****ing kick *** album that is, seriously, i was screaming with it all the way though it.

Mute Print 10-13-2005 01:50 PM

I was listening to Minor Threat the other day. It was awesome.

I'm listening to Champion now.

Kif 10-13-2005 01:51 PM

I'm listening to E11 - The Room's Too Cold (Reissue)

Nothing special really. Reissues are so annoying lately, because they are all like 2 years old. Underoath's latest album was reissued, and it's only a year old!

Understanding In a Crash 10-13-2005 01:52 PM

Wow I just saw that "A Types" was recorded in Vu Du Studios, Freeport NY which is like 30 minutes away from my house

Mute Print 10-13-2005 01:52 PM

Haha. I don't really like reissue. There have been a lot of them lately. E11, Underoath, Rise Against, Coheed and Cambria, ...

Oh, and Hawthorne Heights too, which I bought.

Kif 10-13-2005 01:54 PM

Victory Records are reissueing pretty much their whole catalogue at the moment. It's annoying.

The only one I can really get behind is Say Anything, since theirs had a bonus disc with 7 new songs on.

And you bought HH album?

Dead Kennedy's :thumb:

I never understood the reasoning for reissuing things except for marketing and marketability.

Yeah, I did. I didn't buy it when it was originally released, so I bought the reissue. Hawthorne Heights is definately one of my "guilty pleasures".

Understanding In a Crash 10-13-2005 01:57 PM

Victory Records have done some gutsy things...

Aiden's lead singer looks like Gerard Ways Dad.

Mute Print 10-13-2005 01:58 PM

Haha. Aiden.

I saw them live a couple weeks ago with Still Remains.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-13-2005 02:01 PM

Hmm 9pm...

Oz Rembrandt 10-13-2005 02:02 PM

G'night guys. I'm off to watch a programme bout UFO's

The truth is out there...

Well said. MCR are on the cover of a boring Rock Sound mag again. That's the third time in one year!

Angry Balled Fists! 10-13-2005 02:11 PM

I might go soon and do some more work.

ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY

Untitled 10-13-2005 02:13 PM

Angry Balled Fists! 10-13-2005 02:39 PM

B 10-13-2005 02:41 PM

Then after class my program and FA...I'm behind.

In happier news I'm applying to work at the school radio station next semester.
What are you majoring/minoring in?

Kif 10-13-2005 02:58 PM

I decided to join in these Halloween avatar-changing shenanigans

Mute Print 10-13-2005 03:00 PM

OMFG! Captain Planet! That avatar is sick as hell.

Jon approves of this band. A bit heavier than Anberlin level, with more talent.

Don't worry, it's not very heavy. Former members of beloved, by the way.

Revival is the best one on there, I think.

Mute Print 10-13-2005 03:14 PM

I like them. They sound pretty cool.

Ah, good deal. You need an account though...

I've got one there. It's a very nice site, if just a little slow (meaning that there usually aren't more than 5 seeders unless it's a really popular thing).

I'd recommend an acount though, if you use torrents.

Gnarmageddon 10-13-2005 03:22 PM

So I just now found out that at the beginning of 'Bleeding Heart Disease' it says "How money polluted my mind." Crazy. I never knew that.

Okay, I'll get an account. I just wasn't sure.

I've never used torrents before yesterday.

So yesterday I had some time during guitar class and school and figured out how The (A?) Soft Shell by A Wilhelm Scream.

I figured out everything except that harmonized lead riff near the end :(

I use this nifty program called Bit Tornado.

Then when I click on the torrent link and that window saying "What program would you like to use to open this file with?" I just set it to Bit Tornado and "always use this program for this type of file" and then it pops up, I pick a download folder, and it downloads.

No fuss at all. VERY easy.

I don't know how to seed with it though, not that I'd seed. Too much work.

Untitled 10-13-2005 03:32 PM

OMG OMG OMG. I just saw an advert on BBC2, for Family guy and american dad, i knew family guy was gonna be on BBC but it looks like itll be on soon, didnt know about american dad though.
