hes got one of the most unique tones in rock guitar. no lie. and roger taylor is a very talented vocalist, often overlooked in favor of mercury. hes the one who hits that extremely high note in bohemian rhapsody at the end of the line "beelzebub has a devil put aside for meeeee."

Leper 06-29-2005 12:11 AM

beelzebub? Is that the actual lyric?...

magicbus 06-29-2005 12:22 AM

White_heat 06-29-2005 12:25 AM

Funny they where playing that song today on music choice, and I got really into it.

Leper 06-29-2005 12:31 AM

Ya it's definitely one of the greatest songs of all time.

thickasabrick 06-29-2005 01:27 AM

It's a great song, I can't imagine how excited I would be if I was in the process of writing a song like that. I'm just not good at writing stuff for my singer to sing (I can never find a good melody to fit the lyrics or vice versa).

I know her father isn't exactly considered a "rock star," I'd say Norah Jones is one of the most talented musicians around (who's parent is a musician), and is one of the few musicians children who didn't make their fame just from being part of a famous family. I kinda said that wierd, hopefully you all understand.

BassMasterMike88 06-29-2005 08:32 AM

We wouldn't happen to have any Purple Sage fans in here would we? Or are they just to Folk rock like Poco to really be considered classic rock?
So what does everyone think of the Os Mutantes?
I thought they were great. Really catchy stuff. It's also funny listening to the words.

Woodstock 06-29-2005 10:41 AM
I have their debut, its good stuff, but there are a bunch of proto-punk bands that are better.
No, no, no. Their debut is horrible. You should find Raw Power.

I started on Raw Power, so moving from that to their debut made it seem horrible in comparison.

White_heat 06-29-2005 11:03 AM

Ive never heard of The Egales, welcome to MX

zeppelin_7 06-29-2005 11:07 AM

Well I'm finally back from gay ass Oregon.

So, I found out I'm addicted to Electric Light Orchestra.

Jeff Lynne's a musical genius.
