I don't get a half-term :(

Arucard 10-03-2005 12:14 PM

Ahh shame. This is gonna be the biggest party we ever have, me thinks.

Axe 10-03-2005 12:16 PM

Nobody in my thread yet :(

Arucard 10-03-2005 12:18 PM

Ha. What kinda beer?

munky_magik 10-03-2005 12:24 PM

I love how Fosters make such a big deal out of being Australian, but all Aussies hate it.

NP: Zappa, Frank - Son of Mr. Green Genes

Mazeppa 10-03-2005 12:26 PM

I love how Fosters is cheap and tastes better as you drink more of it.
In fact, I like Fosters quite a lot.

That is true.

So on saturday I went out with some friends and we bought a load of Stella artois and sat in a field
Turns out I find the beer disgusting so I ended up being the sober one looking after the people who ended up being sick. The evening was not as much fun as I planned in the end.

But it's reassuringly expensive!

Mazeppa 10-03-2005 12:44 PM
And reassuringly tasty. Methinks metal guitar is anti-European.
Axe 10-03-2005 12:46 PM

Nah, well not over here...
but we are a big producer of it...
Murphys (nicer than guiness)
Guinness (nice all the same)
Foleys irish stout (well kept irish secret)

and we like cheese too :)
I know people who swear by Strongbow. Strange.
ND(Drinking): A nice cold can of Strongbow.

superpeer 10-03-2005 12:59 PM
But it's reassuringly expensive!
Expensive?

It's €1.50 for a pint here, usually.

€1? In a pub?

Axe 10-03-2005 01:04 PM

nah, in an offlicence. it sucks how expensive drink is over here :(
€4.10 a pint in a pub :(

the2stranger 10-03-2005 01:06 PM

the cheap beer I normaly drink is 0,45€ for 0,5 liter, and it's good taste and all.

Axe 10-03-2005 01:06 PM
No, stout is beer. I think people confuse beer with lager. Beer encompasses the lot.

I'd rather die. When I was in Prague, Strongbow was the most expensive cider. It's the best selling imported beer there, and it's still cheaper than it is here.
either that or magners, which is too sweet...
it's called Bulmers over here...
i remember the name from holidays, it's also made in ireland :)

superpeer 10-03-2005 01:06 PM

Damn, a beer costs €1.5 in a pub here. I guess it's not too bad to live in beerland.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-03-2005 01:10 PM

Carling, Stella and Bud is where its at.

Hey guys, what's up ?

What d'ya think of the new thrice album ?

It's definetley more of a rock record and they have changed their sound loads.

Axe 10-03-2005 01:10 PM
Damn, a beer costs €1.5 in a pub here. I guess it's not too bad to live in beerland.
yeh. i went to spain and it was €29.99 for a box of 40 bottles of the local beer
san miguel, which is €1.50 a stubby (small can) in a supermarket.

and on to spirits. what's your favourite, mines whiskey (here come the irish stereotypes ;) )

superpeer 10-03-2005 01:10 PM

I don't have an economy? :\

Dan: I don't think anyone listens to Thrice here, to be honest.

I drink way more spirits than beer, if I have the chance, I love them all, really. God, so good to numb your senses with that.
