In King of the Hill that crazy asian guy (Con, I think that's his name.) was singing Rock the Casbah at a lawnmower focus group .
That's insane

Does anyone know what happened to Keith Levene after he got kicked out of The Clash?

 it was a joke...if you read from page 4, you can see that the lamborghini guy is not our favorite drummer of all time...and we keep making jokes about him crashing his lamborghini. And I dont know what happenned to Keith after the clash...

guns_of_brixton2 06-14-2005 09:11 PM
I'll put it in the Lets Get Physical thread, maybe tommorrow but my computer is pretty crap, so I don't know if it will work. I'll try though.
Thanks mucho :thumb:.

Haha, all of those LG jokes are classic .

I think that Keith was in some band with some former Sex Pistols, I believe. And I didn't know until a little while ago that he wrote (or at least helped write) What's My Name.

Whoa...that's a relief

/me does some research on Keith Levene

After The Clash, he worked with Sid Vicious. When he went to the Sex Pistols, and then died, Johnny Rotten and Keith worked on Public Image Limited. He continued to work with other punk bands, before starting a band with Glen Matlock in the late '90s. That folded, and now he works on a website called Missing Channel, as a "creative outlet."

The more you know....

guns_of_brixton2 06-14-2005 09:12 PM

Ha, I was right!

And I posted first :D.

Coma_Girl 06-14-2005 09:15 PM

Glitterati 06-14-2005 09:16 PM
whats the link to the website hes working on?
I typed it in, and the "domain had expired."

Huh. I dunno what the official name of the site is.

Coma_Girl 06-15-2005 01:52 PM

I just read somewhere that the mescaleros were on the warped tour in 2001 or something  aaaaaaaaaah!

white_riot 06-15-2005 01:56 PM

Are you serious?

Coma_Girl 06-15-2005 01:58 PM

yeah

white_riot 06-15-2005 03:40 PM

There was this thing going on in the Songwriting Forum, best 100 Proffesional Songwriters of all time and Joe got third.

Forest_Fire 06-15-2005 03:42 PM

Who were the ones above him?

TheJackOfHearts 06-15-2005 03:51 PM

Dylan won (as he should have) and Lennon/McCartney were second.

Forest_Fire 06-15-2005 03:53 PM

Where was Cash?

I thought Paul Simonon was #98 for a minute...

TheJackOfHearts 06-15-2005 03:54 PM

Wasn't in it.

Thats awesome. I'm going to find that thread.

TheJackOfHearts 06-15-2005 04:23 PM

It's the top sticky in S & L.

guns_of_brixton 06-15-2005 04:30 PM

Yea, I found it. I think they should have had it as Strummer/Jones though.

TheJackOfHearts 06-15-2005 04:36 PM

That's what I thought. The right person won though. I'm pretty sure Joe's a Dylan fan as he refers to Desolation Row in Coma Girl.

I agree with Dylan winning, but I would easily put Joe ahead of Lennon and McCartney.

And who doesn't like at least one Bob Dylan song? The Hurricane is my favorite, and its a good movie as well. But this is the Clash thread, so I'll stop...

TheJackOfHearts 06-15-2005 04:53 PM

I can't pick a favourite Dylan song but Desolation Row is definitely up there.

I gotta say, that's a damn good list. Three of my all-time favorites.

But I can't believe they left out Johnny Cash, but kept that little Oberst bitch.
