It was still a fun night for sure. I'm going to hold off on the crow surfing for a bit though.
Probably best, crows are generally not very strong. ;)

burtonbassist_102 03-29-2009 05:17 PM

i forgot how addicting fable is.

my character's such a badass.

Gattsu347 03-29-2009 05:26 PM

so i inherited a recorder and a badass old keyboard today. not to mention a entire kitchen silverware and plate set and $30,000 when i turn 30

DaveSavesTheDay 03-29-2009 05:27 PM

I'll take a wild guess and say a family member passed away?

Gattsu347 03-29-2009 05:28 PM

Yarp

DaveSavesTheDay 03-29-2009 05:36 PM

someone close to you or a long-lost relative?

sixxbassist90 03-29-2009 05:59 PM

yo...

DaveSavesTheDay 03-29-2009 06:11 PM

why 30, Gattsu?

Isnt the normal age for inheritance 21? I've heard 25 but thought that was old.

Sablate McNuff 03-29-2009 06:21 PM

Maybe so that he has time to really work and build a life for himself, appreciating and carefully spending the money.

In other news, I discovered Portishead (band) a couple days ago. I quite like them.

Gattsu347 03-29-2009 07:28 PM

idk man, it was written in her will. long lost relative.

Spaceman Spiff 03-29-2009 07:41 PM

I know that my dad has been paying into a life insurance policy for a long time now. As of now, my brothers and I are each set to receive about 50-60 thousand when he dies.

Your brother still doing the journalism thing?

Spaceman Spiff 03-29-2009 08:33 PM
Your brother still doing the journalism thing?
Yup. I think he has one more year of school? He's still doing plenty of writing for BMEzine. I know he doesn't really want to do BME much longer, but I'm not really sure what he's planning on doing.

BenJammin 03-29-2009 08:48 PM

I'm going to see some random performance tomorrow at my university. Some music professor from the UK is doing a performance with live electronics and viola. Should be pretty interesting.

Gattsu347 03-29-2009 08:49 PM

im picking up this recorder super fast. im a genius.

BenJammin 03-29-2009 08:59 PM

DaveSavesTheDay 03-29-2009 09:34 PM

Hey, Jesse.

Does anyone know of any 'sales' companies (ex: Xerox) that have offices in Canada and are big (ex: Xerox)

p.s. I know of Xerox.

DaveSavesTheDay 03-29-2009 10:33 PM

Hey Andy

PaulSimonon 03-29-2009 10:36 PM

How's life?

DaveSavesTheDay 03-29-2009 10:46 PM

Eh, not bad you?

PaulSimonon 03-29-2009 10:53 PM

Busy, I'm moving downtown in two days.

Well, tomorrow I guess, since it's after midnight.

Whooo no more parents boo paying all the rent on a two bedroom apt because your roomate bailed for the first two months.

DaveSavesTheDay 03-29-2009 10:55 PM

Hey, me too.

I'm moving out May 1st with my best friend. Except neither of us are ditching. We're getting a fairly good deal for apartments in my area. It'll be $890 with utilities.

Hows work/school?

PaulSimonon 03-29-2009 10:59 PM

Dropped out of college (again)... work's alright, shitty job, okay pay, **** for hours.

$595 and the only utilities are electric. No A/C but lots of windows....

Basically I want a new bass. Either a Brubaker Brute J/MM 5, Yamaha BB615, or a 5 string ATK. Or a sweet deal on a rick or MM.

PaulSimonon 03-29-2009 10:59 PM

Youse?

Sablate McNuff 03-29-2009 11:34 PM

If I had put an album up on the Internet of a band that I recently discovered, my post would probably look like this:

FunkMetalBass 03-30-2009 10:35 AM

w0rd up, l0d

Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2009 03:51 PM

Another day of work over with. I walked home today and it took me about as long as it takes to take the bus. What the hell?

BenJammin 03-30-2009 03:52 PM

Just start walking, then. Good exercise for you, especially if you sit on your ass all day at work. :p

fatbandit 03-30-2009 03:54 PM

Yeah, it is quicker to walk home for me than it is to get two buses. Cuts a corner out. And waiting times. But it is all uphill and when my job is basically walking... I get the bus most of the time.

Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2009 03:54 PM
Just start walking, then. Good exercise for you, especially if you sit on your ass all day at work. :p
That was the plan. I've just been waiting for it to get warm, which it finally is. And I have been putting on some pounds that I want to lose, and it's definitely because I'm stuck sitting on my ass all day.

Yeah, I hear you. I've been eating a lot more than usual this winter, so I've put on 5 or 10 extra pounds. I need to revert to my girlish figure of 140lbs.

Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2009 04:01 PM

I've put on about 10 pounds since starting this job. Up to about 165 now, I wouldn't mind getting down to 150 or even a bit lower. I'd like to put on some muscle, too, and not just lose the chub.

Epidemechanical 03-30-2009 04:03 PM

i'm at 210 now, still 15 shy of my goal 225 (i'm 6'2'')

but i havn't been able to gain anything because my living situation and moving around a lot the past few weeks has interrupted my training schedule

and im beefing up to be at the absolute top of my mma weight bracket light heavyweight, and maybe move into heavyweight to train with my room mate who is 6'4'' and 235

I've been sitting too comfortably at ~200 lbs for too long.

I don't think it shows though:
