DepthsOfDreams555 06-13-2005 08:24 AM

thats pretty cool i had never read that interview

TMA 06-13-2005 10:49 AM

Yo, cobert, that thing you showed me in the Your Band thread that got closed, the Three Evils part you play, that's how it's supposed to be played, so the other guy is just a retard.

Yeah, i know. He never actually fully learned that part in the song (he does this alot), so he kinda wings it.

And he said he was up at a hot topic recently and the person there said they sold out of the comics. Funny thing is, we went a few weeks ago and the person there said they never got any in.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-17-2005 02:44 PM

lol

DepthsOfDreams555 06-17-2005 02:59 PM

do u think coheed and cambria could be considered indie because i was readin on like victory records and they were like coheed and cambria indie indie indie and i was like well.....idk i jus really dont see em that way

Ganondorf 06-17-2005 03:08 PM

No, well defiently not from whtat I've heard of the vast genre of Indie anyway.

Razorlight, The Libertines, Kaiser Cheifs, Babyshambles, Blocl Party (for the main part) basically suck ass.

Dead Star 06-17-2005 03:11 PM

I don't mind 3 of those bands you mentioned...

cobert 06-17-2005 03:33 PM

Coheed and Cambria = Progressive Emo

Kotton 06-17-2005 09:21 PM

I Love Co & Ca's complexity in their music and their lyrics are deep

TMA 06-17-2005 10:21 PM
Coheed and Cambria = Progressive Emo
:thumb:
Good call. Most people don't get that.
Granted, the only thing really "Emo" about them is the sound of the music, and MAYBE the fact that the chick the main character is in love with is rather named after Claudio's ex girlfriend (Newo Ikkin... his ex was named Nikki Owen... it's backwards).

Ganondorf 06-18-2005 01:46 AM
Coheed and Cambria = Progressive Emo
The genre police wouldn't be happy ;)

DepthsOfDreams555 06-18-2005 04:56 PM

ya i think thats good progressive emo but really there music is about the story but can u use the point of the story or characters in the genre u put em in?????

cobert 06-18-2005 07:11 PM
The genre police wouldn't be happy ;)
To make Coheed and Cambria:

________________

1. Take Emo
2. Water it down with basically every other genre you can think of
3. Add awesome

Voila.

coheend and cambri are an awesome band, me and my older brother discovered them a few months back when we were just browsing links from our favourite bands website when we came across a picture of them. and the reason we started listening to them is because the vocalists looks exactly like my older brother!!! by the way everyone has to check out "a favor house atlantic" its the koolest song.

cobert 06-21-2005 05:45 PM

Sweet :). My brother took a picture of him and me, but for some reason the picture "got deleted from his iPhoto Album" on his computer, yet he still has the picture I took of him and Claudio. :upset:

Ask him very nonchalantly what happened. If he says he doesnt know, punch him in the kidneys and continue to question him.

hey, you're not cory! 06-25-2005 12:53 PM
I heard the same as depthsofdreams, that claudio didnt really like them. He said if he wouldve listened to them a while ago while he was getting into music he mightve, but not now. And i pretty much KNEW somebody was going to say rush.
I was listening to Coheed the other day and my mom asked me if it was Rush.

lunchforthesky 06-25-2005 01:09 PM

yeah my parents said they sounded like rush too

TMA 06-25-2005 01:30 PM

As did mine. And my Aunt. Then again, my Aunt also thought they had some Creed influence, so... she's f*cked up.
But yeah, BOTH of my parents thought I was listening to Rush the first time they found me listening to Coheed And Cambria.

Thomislegend 06-25-2005 03:07 PM

Anyone know when the new album is out?

TMA 06-25-2005 03:57 PM

I saw an anouncement today. September 20th. Day AFTER my birthday.

Everyone in my house hates rush.

/lets out primal cheer

We finally have the date.
Then again, my Aunt also thought they had some Creed influence
Ugh, my guitarist said "dude, creed isnt that bad". Then he did pretty much the same thing except with good charolotte so he could get laid by some ugly chicks.

TMA 06-26-2005 09:43 PM

But... Creed IS that bad.
And once the new album comes... tour time!

cobert 06-27-2005 01:38 PM
But... Creed IS that bad.
My point exactly. Now hes going to warped tour so i guess he can "get nice" with his friends sister, when he really only like one band there (the offspring in case you were wondering).

Staying on topic: How much do COnCA tickets cost, if youve ever seen them? Im usually broke and all my moneys in the bank for when i graduate.

Electric Ocean 06-27-2005 02:09 PM

Something like £15 when I saw them in Cardiff University a few months back.

 Offspring?
And tickets costed me $20 per person when I saw them in October.
