It seems like theres alot traditional metal bands putting out new material (Megadeth, the Crue, etc) and Priests work is the only stuff that has impressed me so far, Revolution great song.

Deth 05-31-2005 12:27 PM
Saw Priest at Hammersmith Apollo and was pleased beyond belief. Got right to the front but unfortunately didn't get any guitar picks etc off band. Extremely loud and heavy though - Priest are the best Heavy Metal band.
Could you give us the setlist? I need to know this stuff.
Wasn't it about Tim Owen's life?
bout what he did before he joined and how he ended up joinin the band, its not how he left them

LedZeppFan83 05-31-2005 02:06 PM

They're Ok......

- I don't really like metal, but i tend to really like Judas Priest. I really like the songs "Revolution" and "You've Got Another Thing Commin". Theyre comming to Atlanta, GA. My friend and i might go see them.

Same as this mostly although they didn't do Exciter. They may have done Heavy Metal, but it was a couple of months ago and can't really remember.
They were awesome though.

Deth 06-05-2005 04:51 PM

I voted Jack Bruce.

18 days 'till the mighty Priest!

Riva 06-05-2005 09:39 PM

So, do we want to do a official cover song for Judas Priest, for the thread that Kif is running?

If we do, I'll handle the vocals... (please don't laugh at my falsetto). I'm thinking Ram It Down? Painkiller... maybe if I can have a day of warming up my chords. :-/

Brew 06-06-2005 02:16 AM

I can play bass if ye want.

ThrashMaster27 06-06-2005 03:59 AM

I don't know about Ram It Down. You think 2 people could actually attempt the monster duel of axes! If someone could actually pull it off it'd be a sure fire winner.

Deth 06-06-2005 11:25 AM

Bah. I play bass as well.

Brew 06-06-2005 01:53 PM

We could replace the dual attack guitars with dual attack basses...?

Deth 06-06-2005 02:20 PM

That would kick ass. I even have a Spector legend like Ian Hill.

Riva 06-08-2005 02:15 AM

What songs would you guys like to consider?

Brew 06-08-2005 02:20 AM

Starbreaker
Diamonds and Rust
Let Us Pray
Painkiller
Livin After Midnight
Nightcrawler

If Creeping_Deth wants to play bass he can, I'm already involved with the Sabbath thread and possibly AC/DC thread now.

Michael_Angelo 06-08-2005 05:40 AM

Priest Are Still ****ing

Brew 06-08-2005 06:33 AM

If ye ask me, all bands are still shitting, otherwise they'd all be a bit screwed.

Kronos 06-08-2005 07:27 AM
Priest Are Still ****ing
Is that sh**ing, f***ing, w*nking, tossing, screwing, nobbing, whoring, p*ssing, farting, or what? Or are they still cooking and that's a four letter word to you 'cos your mum does all yours?

Brew 06-08-2005 09:45 AM

Cooking sounds about right, they probably get Halford to do it all for them! Whilst wearing a pink apron.

Quiksilver26 06-08-2005 10:14 AM

^ lmao, with him singing the high notes in metal meltdown

Brew 06-08-2005 10:16 AM

Imagine what the sound would be like if he burnt himself.

Quiksilver26 06-08-2005 10:59 AM

"i need a PAAAAIINN KILLEERRRR!!!"

yeah i know it's lame :)lol

Riva 06-08-2005 07:13 PM

 Nice one guys. :)

Deth 06-08-2005 07:15 PM

I'm up for a cover, but we are missing everything except a bassist and singer.

Riva 06-08-2005 07:41 PM
I'm up for a cover, but we are missing everything except a bassist and singer.
Hmmm... I'll see if GurS wants to do some Judas Priest drumming...

Any Judas Priest fans who play guitar? And have a recording device, that is. :)

Deth 06-08-2005 09:08 PM

I doubt we'll find any. May have to search the guitar forum.

On another note, I am trying to sing my way through Painkiller and failing horribly.

Riva 06-08-2005 09:11 PM

Haha, my voice is so hoarse, after I sang that song, and Metal Meltdown.

Deth 06-08-2005 09:17 PM

It's weird, I attempted to sing my way through that album today and then tried doing Blackwater Park by Opeth. On different ends of the spectrum aren't they?

I love Summer.

Riva 06-10-2005 07:29 PM

So, I tried Living After Midnight, and it went out really well.

On another note, what do you prefer, Sad Wings Of Destiny, or Hellbent For Leather/Killing Machine?

Quiksilver26 06-10-2005 09:09 PM

ahhhh there'd better be more of these competitions, because i play guitar (though i would probably only be able to handle anything pre-screaming for vengeance :upset: ), but currently have no recording devices

Deth 06-12-2005 07:24 PM

Bump, because of my awesome avatar.

Bump, because watch for my Unleashed In The East review tomorrow.

Bump, because Priest needs a cover song.

TojesDolan 06-12-2005 09:00 PM

Painkiller?

Everyone knows it and the solo, if well nailed, Is a great crowd pleaser.

Deth 06-13-2005 01:12 PM

We don't have a guitarist though.

Or a drummer.

4yearpro? 06-13-2005 04:42 PM

i c them this friday, i cant wait

Deth 06-13-2005 06:53 PM
