I despise Soulseek. Use Ares. It's a lot faster and you don't have to wait on the users.

Ares is good for pr0n and getting caught by the RIAA. I have never seen good music on there.

Hi, I'm new to soulseek. My friend has it too and I have a question.

He had soulseek when he had 56K, then got high-speed and his downloads are still really slow, like 56K. He tried reinstalling and stuff but it didn't work...

If you are downloading off a person with a slower connection it will still download slow,I think,not sure though.

On the transfer window, set your max DL kbps to 0 for unlimited, that may speed it up. Make sure you don't have a cap on your U/L either when your friend is downloading.
