Ah, I wish I could go to Bonnarroo. Oh well, there's always next year.

moe. was a ton of fun. Here's a small review of the concert I wrote up.

Dso
Most definately.

Also check around gdlive.com and nubs for some shows.
DSO is excellent, great cover band

For full shows in shn and MP3, check out www.archive.org/audio
Also, Rob Eaton's (DSO's Bob Weir) son has a band called Greyspoke Variety also on Archive.org, and they are truly excellent

KMidura 02-15-2005 08:07 PM

In fact, if you enjoy great trade-friendly artists such as max creek, pyschedelic breakfast, grateful dead, derek trucks band, Robert Randolph and the family band, DSO, moe, and many others, than Archive.org will feel like you've died and gone to heaven, full shows, with reviews, in mp3, ogg, shn, and flac formats.

I'm assuming you already have Allman Bros. Live at the Filmore East. If not, it's definetly worth the money

Jam2Me 02-18-2005 08:54 PM

I have every Allman Brothers CD. And yeah it's probably one of my favorite live Cds.

jpj 02-18-2005 09:39 PM

How many CD's to the Allmans have?

Jam2Me 02-19-2005 01:27 PM

The Allman Brothers
Idlewild South
Eat A Peach
Brothers And Sisters
Win Lose Or Draw
Enlightened Rogues
Reach For The Sky
Brothers of the Road
Seven Turns
Shades of Two Worlds
Where It All Begins
Hell & High Water
Hittin' The Note

There's a lot more Live albums too but I don't come anywhere near having all of them.

Live ones I have:
Fillmore East
Ludlow Garage
Wipe the Windows, Check the Oil, Dollar Gas
An Evening with the Allman Brothers Band: 2nd Set
Instant Live: Wallingford, CT <--Only because I was there

6Stringer 02-19-2005 08:08 PM

Today I bought:
Gov't Mule - The Deep End Vol. 1
Grateful Dead - Dick's Picks Vol. 20

Jam2Me 02-19-2005 09:15 PM

Some nice Cds right there.

Jam2Me 02-19-2005 11:17 PM

Now that Classic Rock has reached 1,000 we should focus on getting to hmm, 100?

We'll have to brainwash some people into Jam Band fanatics.

Anyone signed up at JamBase for e-mails? I thank them for revealing tons of great shows to me, or people who I haven't heard of and research and then enjoy.

And also Jack Johnson has a new Cd coming out March 4th, I'm definitely getting that.

jpj 02-19-2005 11:53 PM

What's JamBase?

Jam2Me 02-20-2005 09:34 AM

http://www.jambase.com/emails/newsletter/2005-02/

That's what you get e-mailed a couple times monthly along with some reminders of upcoming jam bands in your area.

ShineOnYouCrazyDiamond 02-20-2005 10:18 PM

rusted root! 3.11.05, im seeing them at the factory, its gonna be awesome.

Jam2Me 02-22-2005 12:40 PM

Today I picked up
Bela Fleck and The Flecktones - Live Art
Old & In The Way - s/t

Both Cds are unbelievably good.

6Stringer 02-22-2005 06:32 PM

Today I got a copy of Phil & Friends live Mardi Grass '05. Amazing.Show.Period.

nectarjam 02-23-2005 08:24 PM

A day or two ago I got Derek Trucks Band's "Joyful Noise" Im getting Trey Anastasio's solo album "Trey Anastasio" soon too.

Jam2Me 02-23-2005 09:12 PM

That's an awesome Trucks album, tell me how the Trey album is, I've never heard anything on that one.

I'm going to the Newport Folk Festival this summer, I found out Bela Fleck will be playing at it among some other great artists.

Badmoon 02-23-2005 09:57 PM

I actually don't really enjoy Trey's s/t or Joyful Noise.

Odd

Jam2Me 02-24-2005 03:24 PM

Today I got:
Leftover Salmon - O Cracker Where Art Though <- Buy it!
and then I got...Polyphonic Spree sampler with 3 songs: "Light and Day" "The March" and "Soldier Girl" It's unlike anything I've heard, I could picture it getting a tad annoying but it's light and fun I'm content with it.

Badmoon 02-24-2005 08:23 PM

Why didn't you just buy Polyphonic Spree - The Beginning Stages of...

It has two of those songs on it, and plenty more.

Together We're Heavy > Beginning Stages Of...

O' Cracker Where Art Thou is a pretty good album. L.S.'s live stuff is much better, of course.

Good picks :thumb:

Jam2Me 02-24-2005 08:38 PM

I don't think I could take a whole album of Polyphonic Spree, maybe if I was under the influence of something I could, but I dunno.

Badmoon 02-24-2005 08:58 PM

Give it time ;) Your liking will rise. :)

Jam2Me 02-24-2005 09:41 PM

Heh I saw them perform at some MTV awards a while ago, there were like 30 members wearing colorful robes...like some weird cult, but I was surprised because they were pretty good.
