evildemonlemurs 01-13-2004 02:22 PM

Iron Maiden is one of my all time favorite bands. I'm at school listening to Piece Of Mind right now.

sensitiveorgan00 01-13-2004 02:27 PM

Uh...I would join, but I already have a title. What should I do?

Next Friday, **** yeah! Seeing Arch Enemy....and then THE IRON MAIDEN!

RockerGav 01-13-2004 02:34 PM

Thats a pity you can't change :(. Oh well.....

.........Wherever, wherever you are,

IRON MAIDEN'S

GONNA GET YOU

NO MATTER HOW FAR :D

Zppln 01-13-2004 02:44 PM

question... how many/which Maiden albums do you all have? and what order did you get them in? here's mine:
Powerslave
Dance of Death
SSOASS
Number of the Beast
...that's all, unfortunately

HondoII 01-13-2004 02:49 PM

*has all albums*

just missing Live at Donnington

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-13-2004 07:58 PM

i forget what order! lol. My first was "best of the beast" than i know for a fact i got "no prayer for the dying" as my first studio album, and the last studio album i bought (aside from Dance of Death) was Iron Maiden, but that was years ago lol.

Coolidge 01-13-2004 08:16 PM

Got all of them (except the Blaze Bailey era). My very first tape that I ever bought, was Live After Death. I was about 7 years old (1987). My first CD was Killers, and I got it before I even had a CD player (Still got it). First vinyl was Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (Still got it). And just as I'm typing....Churchhill's speach comes on....creepy....

Hey, sorry it took me so long to get on this; I've got two research papers, and I just took two tests today. Isn't being an overachiever fun? Anyway, here's the avatar. I forgot what the right size is, so I made two. Avatareddie is 70x70, and avatareddiebigger is 90x90. Enjoy.

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-14-2004 01:16 AM

I was wondering what drummer you guys liked better. Clive or Nicko?
I was wondering what drummer you guys liked better. Clive or Nicko?
Nicko....that's for sure. I think he's an all round better Drummer plus the "Listen With Nicko" series was classic!

JMetallica 01-14-2004 03:58 AM

Nicko for me aswell.

FunkyPyro 01-14-2004 10:33 AM

The Maiden Army and avatar doth rocketh :chug: :thumb:

RockerGav 01-14-2004 10:36 AM

Indeed.

sacrifice93.2 01-14-2004 10:40 AM

:chug:
I'll drink to Maiden on that. (even though I quit)
Oh, I prefer Nicko

Jondur 01-14-2004 10:45 AM

Nicko for me although Clive was excellent too.

jimmypumpkin 01-14-2004 11:51 AM

Clive for me. He had better feel IMO,and his hi hat work was amazing. Listen to "Another Life" on killers, that's faaaaast. Bruce thinks Clive was better also.

amba 01-14-2004 12:05 PM

I wanna join the army!! Can I join the army?? Please?! :D :D :D

And on the drummer thing, its hard. I think I'd have to go with Nicko, although Burr rocked too. Burr's stuff seemed to have more 'energy', I cant really explain it, whereas Nicko is amazing technically. :)

RockerGav 01-14-2004 01:35 PM

Burr wrote some cool "riffs" on the drums, like Running Free and Run to the Hills, but Nicko wins it out for me.

Thunder Fingers 01-14-2004 02:53 PM

I like nicko...

Ys, this avatar kicks A$$!!!

YDload 01-14-2004 03:45 PM

Which Iron Maiden song is the most challenging for bassists such as myself? I don't have a wide range of knowledge on the songs, but I think it's "Phantom of the Opera."

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-14-2004 04:19 PM

i to like Nicko, he compliments Steves galloping triplet style quite nicley though i think Clive was more of a raw power drummer, overall its nice to have two good drummers be able to share their talents with such a band.

zeppelin_rules_62 01-15-2004 05:10 AM

i prefer nicko. hes so friendly

mickthemuso 01-15-2004 07:51 AM

does anybody have any idea what iron maiden plans to do in the near future? albums, tours? but i know i cant wait to get my hands on a DVD of the DoD tour... :)

amba 01-15-2004 02:14 PM

Well in the immediate future, theyve got the Americas' leg of the tour. After that, Im not sure what they'll be up to, probably taking a break, which I think is pretty well earnt.

I've heard that there will be a DVD with clips from all the DOD tour dates on. I really hope its true. I was at Earls Court in Dec (which BTW, was amazing :thumb:), and the way they filmed everything on the big screens at the front looked a lot more like something for a DVD than just for a one of thing at a gig, there seemed to be too much effort in it.

RockerGav 01-15-2004 02:18 PM

On the "who does what solo" topic, in Infinite Dreams, am I correct in saying that:

1st: Adrian

2nd: Double, then Dave?

That one is pretty hard actually to guess for me, I'll do some more later.

zeppelin_rules_62 01-15-2004 02:38 PM

Ooh... this is difficult... i would guess so... the second one sounds like Adrian to me though!

HondoII 01-15-2004 02:53 PM

i'd best get expanded SSOASS with the live version...then ill be able to dechipher it. But Im pretty sure from studio its Dave.
