Those aren't the funnier ones though. He used to have one about how if winter manifested itself as a girl, and that girl happened to be his girlfriend, he'd beat her. There was one about how white kids are saying "nigga" too much as well.
Haha! I'd love to hear that last one. Do you have a link for any of them, or just that one?

Fuking great.

Tyler 12-25-2007 01:25 PM

Hah, Rody was so nervous. He was shakey when he did he national anthem. Not their best performance, really. Arif's mic was practically turned off during his lines and it sounded like Luke was playing in a different key or something. Arif's bass sounded awesomesauce as always.

negrodamus 12-25-2007 02:41 PM

Love this band as of late.

Static 12-26-2007 04:41 PM

in order to enter the PTH thread, you must bring the cocaine type slang

Tyler 12-26-2007 10:08 PM

k Europeans.

Let's just say they wanted to tour Europe. Who are some bands, not too random, that you could see them playing with?

Tyr 12-27-2007 06:25 AM

North American or European bands?

Tyler 12-27-2007 06:30 PM
North American or European bands?
Static 12-27-2007 09:32 PM

They could pretty much tour with anybody, they're playing with TDWP, Silverstein, and A Day To Remember in March

And none of those band really fit them

See what im sayin

I really want to go see that show. I don't like Silverstein, and A Day to Remember is really average. TDWP isn't too special either, but Protest the Hero is worth it, IMO.

beans 12-28-2007 12:34 PM

Protest the Hero rules i cant wait for thier new album its gonna be amazing
just like Kezia
anyone think it'll be another concept album?

duckies 12-28-2007 12:44 PM

^^^
“Fortress is not story-based at all. It’s ideas that relate to one another through ancient tellings. It’s history, present times, and a prediction of the future without getting too cheesy, but it’s still cheesy.”

“A lot of it is based in Genghis Khan and old Irish Mythology, about the rise and fall of the Goddess of the forest. [The theme] can be more appreciated by more people. If I had to reduce it to its simplest form, the concept is about the re-emerging of goddess worship and the erosion of faith in scientific process.”
There's two good quotes which should clear it up. The first is from the singer and the second from their bassist.

beans 12-28-2007 12:58 PM

awesome, well still im sure itll be one amazing cd
thats for sure

What a bunch of assholes.

Tyler 12-28-2007 02:21 PM

Why? It's a really awesome concept. And it's amazing fleshed out. I don't see a problem with being ambitious, especially considering they pulled it off. I guess it's not esoteric or cryptic enough for Kage.

Those quotes dont' cover much of it, to be honest.

A lot of it seems to revolve around the cyclical nature of conquest and faith. The inclusion of actual mythological and historical instances is particularly awesome (Flidais and Genghis Khan being a portion of this).

It's just really cool how it's handled. It goes from the first chunk, which deals with raids, pillages and death to the second portion, which seems to deal exclusively with the Milesian Invasion as well as other instances of Christian crusades over Pagan land, and the last chunk seemingly puts it in a modern perspective, sort of restarting the cycle on the last track.

It's really an outstanding concept and there's a **** load to pick out, but every song works on it's own lyrically.

I finally got a copy of both Kezia and A Calculated Use Of Sound!

I really can't think of anyone for them to tour with that would be super-fitting. Nobody makes good heavy music like that while having such good melodic vocals most of the time.

Tyler 12-28-2007 09:36 PM
A Calculated Use Of Sound!
Black cover? I have both issues of ACUOS :) And I have two Search for the Truth 7"s (one is lost so i bought another). And I have the sampler they recorded Soft Targets for (from before it was put on the re-release of ACUOS).

God I'm a fagg.

And guys I just mean bands that arent DWP. The don't have to "fit", just bands they could play with and would appeal more to teh general audience. I mean, Silverstein? Come the **** on.
