I'm so tired. My mum was on the phone for 4 hours last night until 3 am. I'm gonna kill her if she ever does it again.

Man, this week is kinda "blahhh" for me (even though I did have fun with my girlfriend last night :) )...today's gonna be a bitch at work...they have files of every single customer receipt (for their vehicles, etc) and I have to sort them all into numerical order. OK, there's at least 10,000 of those files. so :upset: .

Good thing I have my CD player on me, I'd go insane.

EDIT: Shweet, I found the flier of the release show for the compilation we're goin' to be on. Check it out.

heh, filing sucks. i have to do paperwork for my dad sometimes. music helps a lot though.
bah, i haven't seen my sort-of girlfriend in 3 months, but she lives over 100 miles away, so that doesn't help. hopefully she's coming up next friday, only 8 days away :)

What a mad phone call.

Anyway, I'm also very tired becuase of last night's gig. Opeth were brilliant, and now I'm sore all over from moshing and just standing up for all that time. Great evening though.

Bands in order of apperance:
Burst ( I think they were called )
-These guys were noisy but nothing special
Acercoke (sp?)
-They were ok, when the guy sang he looked like he had a lemon in his mouth while constipated which was rather funny.
Opeth!
-The reason to be there. They were brilliant, my only complaint would be that they only played one song from Still Life which is my favourite Opeth album.

Shred Danson 12-01-2005 11:56 AM

bah, gotta go to lunch, I'm out.

My roommate has the top bunk in our townhouse, and he talks to his girlfriend for hours upon hours. He's quiet, though, and I'm not much for eavesdropping because I give him shit for other things anyways. That, and I'm usually freakin' tired and fall asleep. He asks me if he kept me up last night or if he woke me up when he got in late, but man, I could sleep through a tornado.

Jom: "Your girlfriend's kinda, well, slow. She doesn't get jokes."

Roommate: "Dude, that's my girl you're talking about!"

Jom: "I'm sorry, man, but everytime she's here, she acts like she's not 'all up there.'"

Roommate: "The rules say that I should punch you right now, Jombo."

Jom [mocking]: "Go ahead, come on and hit me. You'll feel so much better."

Roommate: "I... can't."

Jom: "Why not?"

Roommate: "Because you're bigger than me, and I'll feel bad."

Jom: "You vag."

To this day, he has not hit me. He has shot me with an airsoft gun, though. Bastard.

NP: Iron Maiden - Out of the silent planet.

Nicko's drumming is teh pwn in this song, his bass triplets are so fast most people need double-bass to do it as fast.

Haha, that's terrible.

Whenever my roommate's around I don't talk to the gf on the phone. I really hate having people around when I'm on the phone because I'm a pretty private person heh :-\ If we're talking and he comes back I'm always like "Ok, lets talk on AIM now." /bad person

Me it loads for 10 minutes and then brings me to this blank page saying that they cannot find the serfer...Oh well..

NP Iced Earth - Angels Holocaust

Mx has been insanely slow lately. My choice would be to eliminate the pit too. :)

awesome song, i think i have a live version of that (Alive in Athens i think it's on)

Shadows 12-01-2005 04:39 PM

This old Dimmu Borgir album is both extremely good and extremely laughable.

Josh 12-01-2005 04:41 PM

I expect to buy Puritanic Euphoric Misanthropia..Or what ever the title is.
Do you have it ?
If so, is it good ?

Shadows 12-01-2005 04:44 PM
i don't think i've ever listened to them, what're they like?
Their early stuff was extremely melodic black metal, their new stuff is extremely symphonic metal. I've recently discovered how much I love them.

Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is very good with some really fine songs. But overall, I'd suggest Death Cult Armageddon over that one. The orchestra is used much better and the riffs/melodies/vocals are all much more creative and memorable.

I love Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and I hate Death Cult Armageddon.

Old DB > New DB

Shadows 12-01-2005 05:14 PM

Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is most definitely new DB. It was released right before Death Cult Armageddon.

Blessings Upon the Throne of Tyranny, Kings of Carnival Creation, Hybrid Stigmata - The Apostasy, and Sympozium are all ace songs, but I felt the album had many more "meh" moments than DCA. The main selling point of PEM also seems to be the song Puritania, which I think is one of their worst songs ever.
