For anarcho:
Chumbawamba
Oi Polloi
Conflict (I don't like them, but since you like Crass, you may)

For Defiance, Ohio:
Ghost Mice
Carrie Nations
Two Gallants

Lyrically and musically, yes. I don't think that the vocals are very similar though.

I've got all those besides Behind Enemy Lines but I'll check them out

DaveToopes 01-08-2006 12:31 PM

They're pretty good, if you like Aus-Rotten, you should like them a lot.

Since when does a band or artist have to have similar vocals to another to sound similar? GCF are about as close to GB as you can get.

Truth, they definitely are.

Can anyone tell me some bands similar to the Big Boys?

AIRIC 01-08-2006 06:06 PM

the Dicks are like Big Boys sister band.

Excursions 01-08-2006 06:36 PM
Can anyone tell me some bands similar to the Big Boys?
The Dicks
MDC / The Stains
Really Red
Verbal Abuse

sketchyjoe 01-08-2006 06:39 PM

Though those bands originated from the same sort of scene they don't really have the same funk-punk vibe as the Big Boys. The nearest I can think of is The Minutemen.

WABU 01-08-2006 07:12 PM

I recommend Balzac, even though you cant understand what they are saying, it sounds sweet... :smoke:
go for:

*Zetsubou-no-ano-basho-e
*I'm Losing You
*D.A.R.K.

żIf you know 'em could you recommend some songs to me?

Pirate Satellite 01-09-2006 12:52 AM

I want a really creative punk record. I know that's what I'm always saying, but I'll take any suggestions. Like 'London Calling' and 'Life Won't Wait' and 'Double Nickels On The Dime.' I'm interested in people who take punk rock music and just totally run with it in a different direction. Any ideas?

Secondly, with that said, should I buy a Public Image Limited CD?

Gogol Bordello, but not everyone is into them.

EDIT: Reccomend me something like X-Ray Spex.

Inner Terrestrials - IT! It's a good album, reggae with punk influences. If you're into reggae and punk I'm sure you'll like it.

Yes, I know. But back then I hated GB completely. Now I like them but like poking fun at Civ.

For everyone's pleasure I will let you know about The Skells, Molotiv Cocktail, Runnin' Riot and The Dangerfields. The Latter two may be harder for some of you to get but once I get back on Soulseek I will let you all get some of the best punk albums available!
