Awesome band.
Agreed.

I'm jamming Anthrax - Among the Living right now. Such an awesome album.

Bazarov 04-07-2006 09:28 PM

I used to not be a big fan of Anthrax, but ever since I gave Persistance of Time a third listen, they clicked. They're great.

I decided to look around on myspace for some good local San Diego thrash bands, here are some that I thought were worthy of mention here:

PC Deathsquad

Chaotic Mess

Waco Fuck

NP: Megadeth - Skull Beneath the Skin

Edit: Damn filter.. so just change the **** to fuck.

hahahahaha, PC Deathsquad is awesome. I disagree with almost everything John believes in minus straight edge, but he's still a cool dude. Have you watched the video for their song, "Fuck Metallica"? It's awesome.

Bazarov 04-07-2006 09:57 PM

No, but I plan on it.

EDIT- I am watching now. My god! I got to find out where in SD these guys live, and this song and video is awesome.

One of my favorite thrash metal albums. Indians is such a good song, I didn't realize how good it was until recently.

word. I have yet to see em live, but they were making plans to come to TX sometime soon, so we'll see.

indeed, I got into the mood of jamming it after watching the Clerks II preview. haha

NewKindofArmy03 04-07-2006 10:29 PM

Where can I see this preview?

I have my Snootchie Bootchies shirt on now.

EDIT-Nevermind, I just saw it. I can't wait, I wish they still worked at the convenience store though.

I need to start paying attention to the SD scene if there's bands like these guys. It just seems plagued by generic As I Lay Dying type bands. :/ I'll definetly see PC Deathsquad when I get a chance.

Well the story just switches as the owner of the store sells the place and it becomes a Mooby's from what I know. Should still rule if they use stuff like this for the soundtrack.

NewKindofArmy03 04-07-2006 11:13 PM

Yeah, didn't know about that. I just thought it was a random switch. I'm pretty much obsessed with Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back so i'm sure it will rule.

Well, to my understanding, that's situation, thus the clip where Dante opens it up and says, "Oh my god." and takes Randall and they look and it's a Mooby's.

I love Kevin Smith's movies. I was watching Mallrats earlier.

Bazarov 04-08-2006 07:50 PM

That doesn't look like Jason Mewes, I take it, that he relapsed? Though imdb.com credits is saying it is him in Clerks II.

NP: SOD - United Forces.

Damn I would've love to seen these guys in concert.

It is Jason Mewes. Making a sequel wouldn't have ever been brought up if it wasn't for him because he wanted to do one, but no one else really did. He than got hooked on heroin and Kevin Smith made deal with him being that if he got off the H that he would make a sequel. So there we have it. A SEQUEL!

Bazarov 04-09-2006 09:08 PM

Well that's good to hear that it is Jason.

NP: Wehrmacht - Blow You Away

NewKindofArmy03 04-09-2006 09:45 PM

If Jason wasn't in it, I wouldn't bother seeing it. He's one of my favorite characters, no matter what he does i'm always laughing.

Feel The Darkness 04-09-2006 10:27 PM

Word. He's awesome, but I prefer Brody. I also love the fact that Jay moshes in almost all the movies he's come out in.

YES!

haha, I love Razorback. Such an awesome label, but they don't put out too much thrash as it's mostly death/grind/gore stuff, but I still love it!

I wanted to try going to their fest, Hogwild Howls, in June, but I doubt I'm gonna be able to make it.

RetiredAt21 04-15-2006 12:18 PM

That video was pretty sweet.

Bazarov 04-17-2006 07:18 PM

I got Cryptic Slaughter's Money Talks, it's awesomely great. And soon off of the R&M mailinglist I'm going to get Wehrmacht's Biermacht.

Feel The Darkness 04-17-2006 10:44 PM

haha, Dude, I have both of those, plus waaaaay more.

Once my band finally gets it shit together, we're gonna cover Money Talks.

Bazarov 04-18-2006 12:32 AM

oh I know you do. You have a lot more files than I do.

What are missing from your band right now?
