yes they lead the british invasion, so what , if they did'nt someone else would have.their music has been played to death.
What about the North american greats
chuck berry ,little richard,fats domino,elvis,ect... these are bands the beatles listened to and got their inspiration.

Frankly, I couldn't care less if they started the British invasion or not. Sure liking them for what they started is okay, but we like them for their music. But I really dont see what their inspirations have to do with anything.

I've listened to about 98% of their music, and it sounds like no other band. They were completely original with bold ideas at a time when people were burning their records.
