Btw does anyone know wat those crosses on derrycks guitar mean? apparently they have some sorta meaning

metal_milita 01-11-2005 11:54 PM

sum41's new video to pieces is really good.
a bit dark for them, but it suits the song really well.

I seriously doubt that they actuallty mean something, he probably just thought that they would look really cool so he put them on there, but I don't actually know

I really want to see it, but I have really slow internet, so I'll probably go over to a friends house and get my hands on its amazingness

jsfit89 01-12-2005 08:37 AM

are sum 41 supportin good charlotte on da europe tour?? am goin to see them on 18th march anyone else goin??

Agent_Orange 01-12-2005 09:20 AM

That sounds about right but I wouldn't think GC and Sum 41 would tour togather. But then again Snoop Dogg and Korn did a concert togather. I think Linkin Park was there too.

I don't think that they are supporting them, but they are going to be touring with them, I don't know why though, GC hasen't come out with anything new in awhile, you will more thatn likely be seeing them, no I am not going to be at any of those shows (no money)

snoop dogg went with korn and linkin park? wow, that is pretty much one of the strangest combinations ever.

people think that GC are very similar to Sum 41, I don't know why. but they ARE touring together

Agent_Orange 01-13-2005 10:26 AM

Yeah, I went to see Sum 41 long time ago when they wasn't really that big yet. The band they opened for sucked it was kinda pathitic. Sum 41 should have closed the show.

EvIL_ToASTER_OVEN 01-13-2005 10:52 AM

I do have to say thank you for your opinion, but if you aren't going to say good things about the band then please don't post in their OFFICIAL thread.

I want to see both bands live, but I don't have money and I also have no means of getting any because I'm only 15 and the minimum working age here is 16 except at a store called Reasor's of which you have to be 14 but there is no way ever that they would hire me

Thanks, it was at some skate show where I saw them at. One of my friends said that it was also aired on MTV.

yeah, I don't have cable or satellite, just normal t.v. so I couldn't've seen it no matter what, I do have that dvd of them live that came with the edited version of Does This Look Infected? so I have, in a sense, seen them in concert, but not live

Deryck is walking out in the streets and everything, and it's all dark. Then like this van-thing passes by at the end of the first verse with Steve in hanging with some girls, and it says "The perfect vacation is waiting for you" on the side. There are more like this;

Dave and his wife at their wedding, and it says "The perfect night..."
Cone and a family of upper-class people, and it says "The perfect family..."
Steve again in a gym with more very nice looking women, and it says "The perfect body..."

All the way through this we see clips of Deryck walking around and everything, then at the end he is siting on a chair in this dark room, and it zooms out and he is in one of the vans, and on the side it says "The perfect life is waiting for you"

Nice concept video I think.

P.S. - I have also seen Sum 41 on the DTLI tour in the UK. They were amazing, Deryck went on drums for PFP!

Untitled 01-14-2005 06:56 PM

Oh so cones in it? I thaught they were random people, i think it was my ****ty picture qaulity with my connection.

I to, saw them on the DTLI tour, with the mighty mighty bosstones, and american hi-fi, deryck went on drums there too. But i remember he got a bottle threw at him, so he got the guy up on stage ho threw it, and they had a water fight.

****, that sounds amazing, I'm going to watch that video very first chance that I get, but I thought Untitled said that Cone wasn't in it, oh, never mind, I just read his other post.

Deryck always plays drums for PFP so that Steve can sing, does everyone know that my b-day is the same day as Steve's? and it's three days before Dave's, I was so happy when I found that out

Kif, I thought you were mad at me when you responded to that post I made in The Best Pop-Punk Band thread when everyone got mad at that kid for asking which of his fav bands people liked more, I guess you aren't mad, that's a relief

stupid fruit cake, throwing a bottle at my fav lead singer, why did they have a water fight, if I were Deryck I would have beat his A'ss.

It's such a relief to hear that the Jay man is in the Pieces video, you really had me going for a sec, I was going to go break something expensive in anger (not really but I was getting really mad)
****, that sounds amazing,
WTF, I put d'amn without the '. stupid auto-edit junk

Untitled 01-15-2005 06:51 AM

Well bottles tend to get threw around mosh pits, one went on stage and hit him.

This guy, he was like 6ft4 or sumet got up on stage, he looked huge next to bizzy, so them to went to water fight, then cone and dave snuk up behind that guy and soaked him threw, it was all in good humor, pretty funny too.

That sounds really funny, but I'm 6' 0" and I'm a pretty big dude, so I would have been mad. Bizzy isn't that big.

Where was Steve for this whole thing??? It doesn't seem like him to not be involved in something like that.

Untitled 01-15-2005 08:09 AM

Behind His kit knackerrd from playing i think

TheBassicBassist 01-15-2005 08:19 AM
Behind His kit knackerrd from playing i think
oh, that makes sense, check out my thread about Proven Theory

EDIT: wait, now that I think about it, it doesn't make sense, Deryck was the one playing the drums not Steve, why would he be back there nice and tired if he wasn't the one playing???
