Makes sense, figuring it is a very solid song. And, at the very least, the lyrics are relivant today.
Me, I can't say a favorite song. Heaven and Hell, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, NIB, and War Pigs are very soild songs I can't help but like. Planet Caravan and Spiral Archetect are cool songs in their own way. Neon Knights and Symptom of the Universe kick ***, though Neon Knights might just be because of Dio's voice. |
If any one was wondering it was Almost Famous which pretty funny movie.
Black Sabboth-1922 was where tony got the idea or whoever(not real big expert on who) for the band name and title song correct? |
I'm pretty sure it was "Geezer" Bulter who wrote most of the song Black Sabbath, but I'm sure it wasn't named after Sabboth. It makes sense when you know what "sabbath" is.

The Warning wasn't written by Iommi, at least I don't think it was, the writing credits have it as been written by ''Dunbar''. And w00t, we're an Official thread now  |

Geezer got given a book all about Witchcraft, Black Magic etc...and he kept it locked away in a cupboard. One night he saw the black figure at the end of his bed, got scared almost to the point of pooping himself (ok, maybe I made that bit up), and then got rid of everything to do with Satan in his room. When he checked to see if the book was still in its cupboard the next morning, it had vanished. Not long afte, he wrote the lyric ''What is this, that stands before me. Figure in black, which points at me'', which was related to his experience. And on the topic of film/song/band name, the song Black Sabbath came first, they named the band after the song. I believe the song was named after the film Black Sabbath. |

I don't know why, but the chorus to Zero the Hero make me laugh:
"What you gonna be, what you gonna be brother Zero the Hero Don't you wanna be, don't you wanna be brother Zero the Hero When you gonna be, when you gonna be brother Zero the Hero Impossibility impissibolity mother Really a Hero" They just make me think of Hulk Hogan, standing in a wrestling ring calling out a wrestler, because he said ''Brother'' alot. /random |
Hey it got stickied, I wanna thank the people who kept posting good to keep this thread alive, also, thanks to Lord Brummington.
|
lets see 2 questions!
1. how has ozzy almost died since we've known him? 2. which members of any era of Black Sabbath have died. kinda depressing questions. |

He also got diagnosed with Multiple Schilrosis back in the 90's, but he got over it. 2) Cozy Powell, 1947 - 1988. |

|
^w00t.
Sabbath on vinyl is great, screw all this new re-mastered poopoo. Vinyl > Cd's. Make sure you turn up the volume at the end of The Writ on Sabotage, so you can hear Blow on a Jug. You won't be disappointed, providing you have Sabotage on vinyl. |
