Are those mensa tests on the web? Never taken an IQ test before.
Yeah, they don't have em online anymore...but I took one, they offered me membership, and then tried to get me to pay $50 to be in it. Screw that lol, I refuse to pay money for prestige. I am better than MENSA anyways  |
Bugger. Oh well, I'll see if I can find one on the web, using my contacts.
Oh, and take this to the Community Thread, mate. Stop spamming my thread! :p /irony ++ |
I am smarter than Pink Floyd, I deserve a thread about me :p
So which one's Pink? ;) |
So that when they turn their backs on you
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.... Damn I love Dogs |
You mean, in the wall how Waters is Pink?
I was de-spamming the thread :p
Who said that, I forgot who.
"the band is just fantastic that is really what i think, oh by the way, which ones pink?"
is that what youre talking about? |
Duh. The lead singer is Pink, and the Guitarist is Floyd. Silly.
/Has a feeling there is an obscure joke that I'm not getting. |
/Has a feeling Riva is on a massive drug overdose
So, anyway, back to the topic. What is the significance of how In The Flesh? has a question mark, and In The Flesh doesn't?
Um... Well, In The Flesh? has ambiguity about whether or not you're actually seeing the real "Pink Floyd," hence the question mark. In The Flesh makes it clear that you're seeing a "surrogate band," and not really Pink Floyd, so the title is kind of ironic.
Yeah, all the lyrics on that album are creepy...to me, the ones that are haunting would have to be Goodbye Blue Sky, One of my turns (linking to Don't leave me now), and The Show must go On. It's like it has double meanings, the first part being about the war, and the second about the panic of realizing where you've gotten with the music you've produced and feeling like that corporate monster whore when your music hits fame and you have nowhere to go.
Echoes is in my top list of favourites from Pink Floyd though.
echoes is a great song...the meddle version is WAY better than the 'Echoes' greatest hits version
so on my cd of "the wall" it says the song title is "One of my TUNES" not "turns," but ive read "turns" elsewhere as well, so whats the real title?
I'm pretty sure it's turns, since tunes doesn't make sense...
Echoes isn't just a good song, it's the best piece of music ever written... |
Turns is correct
I almost agree...but theres a pointless moment that 7:00 to 19:00 is just uncalled for I turn off my CD player at 7:00. That 1st 7 min. though is just amazing.
what about the last 4 minutes? I like the whole thing, but even if you don't like that experimental bit, it normalizes again at the end.
I think it flows as one piece, the mood evolves constantly, you just have to be up for that kind of variety I guess.
Agreed.
I think Dogs>Echoes, but Echoes is still amazing. Dogs just appeals to me more.
I think Echoes changes pace more and makes it more interesting for the listener
I never really got too into Animals. Guess I just need to give it another shot.
