Your girlfriend listens to good music.

Happymeal 10-13-2004 05:35 AM

I want a girlfriend like that too!

yay 1000 posts

br3ad_man 10-13-2004 05:40 AM

I decided that I don't really want to go out with a music nerd, we'd have too many arguments.

Happymeal 10-13-2004 05:45 AM

I don't want a music nerd either, I just want someone who'll appreciate what I listen to. Period.
Your girlfriend listens to good music.
That she does.

She gets to see Coheed tonight without me... It's a school night and my parents won't let me go. :(

br3ad_man 10-14-2004 02:24 AM

That's a shame

Tangy zizzle 10-14-2004 02:30 AM

I would love a music nerd girlfriend, we can argue about who's the most badass band on the planet, I say Can, she says Kyuss, I win then we make sweaty music nerd love.

I finished writing my film music assessment. I'll post it somewhere once I've recorded it, I like it a lot.

I gotta go hand in a job application...I hate talking to people I dont know :(

Finished my 3 hour early morning shoft at work, just sitting around relaxing about to get myself something to eat, and the futureheads pop on mtv2.

Now, i'll admit decent days and nights was catchy, but I still cant help wondering how these guys, who are constantly just.....out of tune sounding, got so big so fast.

they're big? i don't think they sound out of key tho, certainly they mess about with time signatures which can sound strange but it all sounds well in tune to me!
it's a good cd, one of the ones i listen to in my car at the moment.

guitarbaz 10-15-2004 07:29 AM

The Ashtray Girl 10-15-2004 12:13 PM

I'm going to Arizona for a week for a history trip (yay for posh private school) so I shall be unable to post for a little while.

If any of you live in Arizona, we will be the gaggle of English schoolgirls that are everywhere. It's gonna be great.

Hah! Same here. Then again, any girl who dates me is going to end up a music nerd anyway, because I rub off on people.

Well_Respected_Man 10-15-2004 02:11 PM

I had a horrible day today :upset:

But I've been on for about 10 minutes and I must say I feel much better. I love you guys :D

Iai 10-15-2004 04:01 PM

I had a pretty bad day. I've started my new job as a cleaner at the college - doing the art department. The whole department. On my own. :upset: Even the people who clean toilets pity me.

I have to arrange Comfortably Numb for solo guitar, and learn it before Monday. I have a mock exam in Music. A weekend to learn THAT?!? Ah well. If I pull it off, I'm God.

AmysVerdict 10-15-2004 04:17 PM

I posted in the site forum, I hope this baby gets pinned.

Anywho, I've always been a fan of this kind of music, but I've been too caught up on other things to post here. Well, now I've posted a few threads, and read some, and quite enjoy this area.

Iai 10-15-2004 04:19 PM

Welcome to the community. :) Go the October n00bs!

AmysVerdict 10-15-2004 04:21 PM

I just got back from my girlfriends house. We went to go pick up her 14 year old sister, she was so sloshed, it was hilarious. She had puke all over her shirt because her friend threw up all over her...

Kids these days... :amaze:

Tapeworm 10-16-2004 12:59 AM

^ ^ ^ what a cool girl!!! :amaze:

I just spent a week in the "big city". It was really good, I caught up with some friends I hadn't seen for ages, saw Missy Higgins play, saw Damien Rice play, drank heavily, bought cds, bought clothes, ate subway, ate choc chip peanut butter, saw Shaun Of the Dead, went guitar shopping, ordered a telecaster, bought some cymbals, walked around and threw up and nearly missed my train home.

What a week.

Happymeal 10-16-2004 08:36 AM

/me is still a poor bastard

Since there's not much stuff happening here(aside from the polls), how about "Alt/Indie band/artist of the week" threads?? Like a short FA or something..

For the benefit of newbs like me:p
