No man the GD movie is the one with the Skeleton wearing the Uncle Sam hat on the cover. Nice choice with Live Phish 11, by the way. I personally havent listend to that one however I reccommend in highest regard Live Phish 19 and Live Phish 02.

Badmoon 12-30-2004 01:04 PM

I like the Grateful Dead movie. It's full of great animation, live footage and concerts and fan insight.

Bonnaroo 2002 DVD

Kingadamx 12-31-2004 11:27 AM

Does anyone know what happened to Oysterhead. Are they still together or what? It seems like Les has had a lot of projects going on in the past few years.

Badmoon 12-31-2004 11:33 AM

Well, they were a side project/super group. Groups like that never stay together, they have more important projects to get to.

jpj 12-31-2004 02:44 PM

Has anyone heard Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains? They have the Bonnaroo show that they first played at on nugs, and it's absolutely amazing.

Badmoon 12-31-2004 03:20 PM

Yeah, I have their new album. It's okay, nothing that great. Buckethead is amazing and so if Bernie Worell.

jpj 12-31-2004 04:15 PM

I was thinking about getting that the other day, but I got Live Frogs Set 2 instead because they cover all of Animals which is fucking awesome. Bernie Worrel is the man, I love Funkadelic.

Kingadamx 12-31-2004 04:22 PM

Yeah, I guess you're right. I really would have liked to see them play live. The Grand Pecking Order wasn't bad, What do you think of it?

jpj 12-31-2004 04:23 PM

Who was in Oysterhead other than Claypool?

Kingadamx 12-31-2004 04:30 PM

Stewart Copeland of The Police and Trey Anastasio of Phish.

Badmoon 12-31-2004 05:51 PM

Mr. Oysterhead is a really cool song :thumb:
Pretty good album, and especially interesting. :)

G CHORD KING 12-31-2004 07:39 PM

I like pseudo suicide, the grand pecking order, and armys on ecstasy best off that album. I personally like Les Claypool's other side projects (CCBBB, Frog Brigade) more.

jpj 01-01-2005 11:36 AM

Frog Brigade and Bucket of Bernie Brains are the only ones I've heard a lot of, and I love them both. Didn't he have one with sausage in the name?

Kingadamx 01-02-2005 08:11 AM

Yeah he was in a band called sausage. They released Riddles are abound tonight.

jpj 01-04-2005 06:05 PM

What the hell? Where'd all the jam band fans go?

Broken Arrow 01-04-2005 08:36 PM

I think I could be considered a jam band fan coundn't I?

I have loved the Allmans for a long time and I like Govt Mule alot. I also love the the Grateful Dead(thanks to Badmoon) and now I am wearing a tye dye Grateful Dead shirt right now!

I also enjoy Phish and a bunch of other jam bands such as Robert Rudolph and the Family Band and Galactic. I also go to nugs alot let alone discovered it for JPJ and maybe other people if you guys haven't heard of it.

jpj 01-04-2005 08:38 PM

Galactic is awesome!

Ever listened to The Derek Trucks Band stuff on nugs?

Kingadamx 01-05-2005 06:05 PM

Derek Trucks is amazing. His band is one of the most talented group of jammers in this era.

Jam2Me 01-06-2005 03:18 PM

Yeah Trucks is awesome, I got into him from ABB, same with Warren Haynes.
Trucks truly is amazing though.

BludgeonySteve 01-06-2005 10:47 PM

Trucks is one  cat, I says. Everything he does is brilliant.

/has really only heard his stuff with the allmans and his solo stuff though.

jpj 01-06-2005 10:50 PM

You should definitely listen to his stuff on nugs, it's awesome.

BludgeonySteve 01-07-2005 06:02 PM

suuuuuuuure.

*gets to it*

Jam2Me 01-09-2005 06:18 PM

I picked up Phish's Hoist recently, it's pretty good, not my favorite one but I still like it a lot. Allison Krauss and Bela Fleck are on it too, always a good thing.

jpj 01-10-2005 04:44 PM

I love Hoist, it was the first Phish CD I'd ever heard. Julius and Down With Disease are both awesome songs.

Kingadamx 01-11-2005 09:35 AM

I would say that Hoist is my favorite Phish studio album.

Broken Arrow 01-11-2005 03:37 PM
I love Hoist, it was the first Phish CD I'd ever heard. Julius and Down With Disease are both awesome songs.
Those are the two songs that got me into Phish.:)

Jam2Me 01-11-2005 04:15 PM

My favorite is the first one I got Billy Breathes, always a special place in my heart...err CD case.
