You lucky devil you. All I could afford is a 2.0 :(

/shame+

ArcLite 03-22-2005 04:19 AM

Meh, better a POD 2.0 than no POD, ehh?

munky_magik 03-22-2005 04:26 AM

I guess that's one way of looking at it.
At least I can still record :)

Out of interest, why do you want your name changed to "Holiday"?

ArcLite 03-22-2005 04:29 AM

Because every day of my life is a holiday :D ...It's also my old gaming name.

Edit: Why do you ask, curiosity or because its sounds moronic?
Hey there, Thomas. Going alright I guess. I want to leave work and go play more with my new PODxt. How about yourself?
im pretty good, im trying some alternate orders to tool and APC albums, and studying for some oncoming tests. whats a PODxt??

opeth_oasis 03-22-2005 04:36 AM

i see your name hasnt been changed yet chris, same here, but it doesnt bother me too much

ArcLite 03-22-2005 04:37 AM

The PODxt may be the greatest invention for the guitar in the last decade (probably not, but it is to me). Its a cute little red box that includes an amp modulator/simulator with 60 some amps and cabs, an effects processor of about 30 effects, and direct digital recording though either USB or line in. Quite the nice little toy.

opeth_oasis 03-22-2005 04:37 AM
Chris, have you read our ownage of Dargon today?

If not, it starts on page 2.

i know your not here, but that was some of the best owange i have seen on the internet. Nice work man:thumb:

im getting me one of them, thats awesome, all i own is an RP200A (which i love very dearly) and a Peavey amp.

ArcLite 03-22-2005 04:41 AM

Well, just as Ramsey told me before I got mine...You won't regret it.

opeth_oasis 03-22-2005 04:42 AM

is it possible to add on your own effects?

ArcLite 03-22-2005 04:45 AM
is it possible to add on your own effects?
You can buy effect packs for it, not sure exactly what you mean though. If you mean can you use it in conjunction with other stomp boxes you have or what not, then yes. As far as different tones go you can create and save your own, and you can also download other people's that have been posted on customtone.com.

opeth_oasis 03-22-2005 04:58 AM

yeah 2nd one, thanks

Riva 03-22-2005 06:02 AM

Good evening all. How are the lurkers tonight?

ArcLite 03-22-2005 06:06 AM

Big J arrives. This particular lurker is good. I'm kind of on the warpath tonight yelling at the n00bs. I so damn sick of these guys coming in here and talking lik thayv nevr tukn inglisch b4.

Riva 03-22-2005 06:10 AM

Hehe, you sound like a Kiwi when you say that. You at work?

ArcLite 03-22-2005 06:12 AM

Heh, what the deuce do you mean by kiwi? The only meaning I know of is the fruit, and I don't think they have much dialogue. Yeah I'm at work, but only for another 50 minutes. Then it's time to go and POD it up.

Riva 03-22-2005 06:14 AM

A Kiwi is what we call New Zealanders, for their national bird, and also the fruit.

ArcLite 03-22-2005 06:16 AM

Ahh, good to learn these Aussie slang terms...So what you up to?

Riva 03-22-2005 06:17 AM

Trying to finish off my rateyourmusic list.

Riva 03-22-2005 06:19 AM

You know, in about 12 hours, this thread will surpass our year.

ArcLite 03-22-2005 06:19 AM

I've heard of that before. Remind me what exactly to point of it is again, I don't quite remember what it was all about.

True: We should have a millenium party at 2000.

Riva 03-22-2005 06:22 AM

Hehe, we should. And rate your music is basically so you can show off your music collection. :p

LarsAgi007 03-22-2005 06:26 AM
I'm at work and I wish I had an AK-47 (I don't work at the post office btw).

I'm listening to The Wall so that makes it a little better.

Uh...what do you people do for a living? (The ones that aren't 14).
I work 18 hours a week in a local food store called Tesco's, and am saving up for some more musical equipment, and driving lessons.

at 2000, Heck we should have one now!!!!!, I guess you have an impressive music collection!, Whats your most impressive album???

ArcLite 03-22-2005 06:39 AM

The 2000 is referring to pages in this thread, not number of albums we own. But I will say my collection is nothing short of full, diversified, and quite large:).

Riva 03-22-2005 06:40 AM

http://s17.yousendit.com/error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/d.aspx

Uh oh, Jason.

Lars: Every page is a party. Hehe.

Riva 03-22-2005 06:41 AM

I hadn't extracted the rar file, that was my problem. The band is quite good, but the singer causes me a bit of angst.

Is that one as good as WTF?

He sounds different on Waking The Fallen, his screaming is alot better on Waking The Fallen.

And yes, the album is as good as Waking The Fallen I do believe, alot more chaotic in song structures though. His screaming is not as clean though as they are on Waking The Fallen.

Riva 03-22-2005 06:54 AM

Ah I see. I shall have to hear this WTF to know then.

ArcLite 03-22-2005 06:58 AM

Yes, WTF is a great album. Great guitar playing, good songwriting, and good singing. But I can see how his scream may take getting used to.

You don't even like his singing on Warmness On The Soul?
