It just started pouring...
While the current meridian was decided in 1884 to be in Greenwich, pre 1851 it was zero'd about 5 meter's west of the current line ( Ordnance Survey ) . The previous meridian was passing through Paris I believe.. before that I dunno, perhaps rome? |
