I think the 2010 CD-R is Fell Voices' best, but everything they've done so far is pretty good.
|
just checked out woods of infinity, pretty good stuff.
unlock the shrine is prob my favorite black metal album, top 5 at least, but i did not like rain upon the impure much at all. and i get the feeling the latest just went further down that road and further away from unlock the shrine so i doubt i'll ever listen to it.
It doesn't sound anything like Rain Upon the Impure, it has alot more trance/electronica influence. I'd actually say it's closer to Unlock the Shrine than Rain... is. |
Wish Orrery made more stuff.
I don't like them |
Me neither.

you n00bs just can't handle the sheer Wagnarian might that pulses through every dissonant note that emanates from below the human conciouness of their beleaguered dirge to the darkest aspects of human nature caught in the modern peril of isolation.
|
I mean I don't think they're like incredible but their music is enjoyable.

I remember the first time I listened to Orrery and it seemed way too raw (I wasn't used to that shit at all back then) and it took like a year before I ever even gave it a second chance, and found out I actually like it quite a bit.

it's alright, I just think there is better raw BM like most of the LLN bands |
I like some of the LLN stuff, but I think it's severely overhyped. Some of that stuff isn't very original at all.

yep |
black metal isn't about originality it's about who captures the essence and performs it well.
if you want originality, it becomes hipster BM. not that I don't listen to some of that stuff from time to time, but it's not real black metal in my eyes and I don't treat it as such |
Ehrr, okay.

lol

LLN is more terrible than not. The mystique around the label is 90% of the appeal. Belketre, Vlad Tepes and Seviss are the only ones I can really listen to. |
