Berk 08-28-2006 01:48 PM

Its a 2 ply head.

Kronos 08-28-2006 01:51 PM

That's what I meant - sorry if I've lost my usual ability to communicate - it's been a heavy day.
Two ply heads aren't usually used for resos tho'

Berk 08-28-2006 01:54 PM

I have a stock Sonor Reso, Should I put that on there?

Kronos 08-28-2006 01:58 PM

If it's all you've got I suppose so - I've never tried using a 2-ply reso - perhaps you could try it, and see what you think.
OEM reso heads usually suck tho'

Mine do

Berk 08-28-2006 02:01 PM

Got those on my 14" and 16" toms. There Ok when you get'em tuned nice.

I think I'm gonna switch it.

ofDooM 08-28-2006 02:12 PM

strange. i have 47 reps.

whats the purpose of these 'reps'?

Sync0pation 08-28-2006 02:17 PM

I have -39. I don't know, I don't know how to give them either.

Kronos 08-28-2006 02:21 PM

I think reps can only be given by mods and people with stars. I haven't checked mine recently

/goes to look

edit - apparently I have 182.

I would have had more, but Josiah neg-repped me last year for disagreeing with him :-)

of which I'm very proud.

Berk 08-28-2006 02:25 PM

I have 1 Rep. TOOO COOOOL

Sync0pation 08-28-2006 02:26 PM

I have -39 because of Josiah, too.

Kronos 08-28-2006 02:27 PM

Haha! It's not a very exclusive club, is it?

/finds it funny

Berk 08-28-2006 02:27 PM

Futuro took mine away. DAMN HIM.

maniac0796 08-28-2006 02:36 PM

I have 10. You can rep anyone. On the left hand side next to their post where all their info is, at the bottom of that little bit is 3 buttons. You click the middle one, the tick and cross.

Sync0pation 08-28-2006 02:46 PM

So what determines how many rep points you give?

Electric Requiem 08-28-2006 02:49 PM

ofDooM 08-28-2006 02:58 PM

if anybody remembers the guy i wanted to kick the shlt out of, your going to like this story.

i broke up with my gf, if you didnt know. im guessing she took it pretty hard, because her eyes just tell me she doesnt even want to talk to me.

well, right when lunch started i saw that guy, my ex and her started walking with each other. how disappointing. she hated him above all, and when i mean hate, i mean on a completely different level.

i broke up with her not because of any problems with her or the relationship, more because i have too much to worry about. i had a freaking anxeity/asthma attack.

LoneStarDrummer 08-28-2006 03:03 PM

I have a hair in my throat. It's from my head, though. It's on my tongue so I can pull it out, but I don't want to barf.

Berk 08-28-2006 03:24 PM

Wow, I just found 3 guitar picks... What should I do with them?

EDIT: Turns out my room is littered with them.

LoneStarDrummer 08-28-2006 03:26 PM

pick stuff

Berk 08-28-2006 03:27 PM

I have a guitar..

Futuro 08-28-2006 03:30 PM
I have a guitar..
Use your fingers like a real man.

maniac0796 08-28-2006 03:34 PM

I use fingers. The thing that pisses me off most is people who use a pick with a bass. I mean, yeah, you get a different sound, but it sounds sh/t.

Futuro 08-28-2006 03:37 PM

Different transient attacks. No reason not to use everything at your disposal.

I was just joking with berk, bert, whatever his name is.

Janeway 08-28-2006 03:48 PM

I like the sound of a pick on bass, but I use my fingers because I'm used to it.
I just have to keep in mind not to play scruggs style bass. =/

My whistle and case came. Hoorah.

Seafroggys 08-28-2006 03:50 PM

my favorite bassist, John Entwistle, used both pick and fingers.

He usually used picks on his older stuff, and fingers for his newer songs. Probably because he was a pick player in his early days, so he uses the same technique later on. Which is odd, because for his My Generation solos, he uses fingers, even though most of his other material that time were pick oriented.

Another one of my favorite bassists used picks (Paul McCartney)

Though I much prefer fingering. The women like it more...I mean, I just think it sounds better.

Sunshine 08-28-2006 04:49 PM

Awdamn.

Apparently, over the course of English 101 [1 semesters worth o' English for those of you who don't know], we have to write a research paper that's at LEAST 8 pages long with the topic "What makes good writing?" or "What is good writing?"

Stupid college.

ofDooM 08-28-2006 05:01 PM

im insecure.

Berk 08-28-2006 05:05 PM

Aren't we all.
My mom is shouting out what she's done today, And my dad is like "You kids better start pulling your asses around". Ekk

Sync0pation 08-28-2006 05:12 PM

I have a load of AP Envi Sci summer homework, due the moment we get back to school. But my teacher hasn't sent me it, despite the fact that I've emailed him about it. And apparently I'm going to have a huge test on it too when I come back.
