^ It's hard to compare a live album with a studio album, but Who's Next is more listenable. Although with Leeds you can hear the raw power of the Who's live show!
|
I like band shirts. I'm wearing a Beatles one right now, and I have an AC/DC one in my room. I'm trying to find a good Velvet Underground one on eBay.
I have an AC/DC shirt, an Opeth shirt, and a Guns N' Roses shirt. |
Well I finaly got that ****ing Frank Zappa album to download (After trying for the past 36 hours!!!!). :)
I had the chance to decide to pick between Who's Next and Live at Leeds before. I picked Who's Next and now I really regret it. |
That reminds me, I will be seeing Steppenwolf July 9th at Six Flags, New Orleans.
Haha, they're cool live. John Kay usually buts out some mad harmonica licks and their keyboardist wears his keyboard like a guitar. |

So......the Last Waltz is pretty good.

Do you not like Jazz? |
Haha, they're cool live. John Kay usually buts out some mad harmonica licks and their keyboardist wears his keyboard like a guitar.
I saw them live on this Channel 11 thing, their were hardly any original members and they were kind of all out of the spotlight, but John Kay. He'd occasionally use the harmonica and a Rickenbacker with a slide; it was a good show.
Then you probablly don't like Jazz at all. Am I right?
No, I like Jazz. |
I just uploaded that Miles Davis Album...Some seriously talented stuff on there.
|
Then how the hell do you not like one of the greatest musicans to ever walk the face of the planet?!!?! Sorry, it's just freakishly strange to me that a person that likes Jazz doesn't like Miles Davis.
|
I love Bitches Brew.
|
Bitches Brew is awesome, as is Live in Olympia, and Kind of Blue. I want Sketches of Spain.

Well, if 'one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the planent' releases what is boring to me, I like other, will not like nor enjoy his music. Many people do not like Miles Davis and like Jazz; plenty of people in the Jazz & Funk forum do not, and agree that even Kind of Blue could put them to sleep. That's like saying I can't like Rock music without being into The Beatles. |

*Backs away slowly* |
So......the Last Waltz is pretty good.
123. np: Lou Reed - Satellite Of Love |
I love The Last Waltz.
I don't think I'm going to go to Tom Petty anymore :upset: I might go to CCR instead. Still definently seeing Buddy Guy though. |
I think one of the coolest things I've ever seen is Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Robbie Robertson all together on stage at the end of the Last Waltz. It was awsome.

Three of my all-time favorite musicians. |

Oh well at least you didn't say that about John Coltrane. ;) Speaking of John Coltrane; A Love Supreme is quite possibly the greatest music ever recorded. |
I don't think I'm going to go to Tom Petty anymore :upset:
He's coming back here on July 29th but tickets are already sold out :( It's fine that Badmoon doesn't like Miles Davis. "Boring" is completely subjective; after all, my eyes glaze over whenever I try to listen to the Grateful Dead, but he thinks they're the greatest band ever. Different strokes for different folks. |
You speak the truth.^
What Jazz do you enjoy Moon? |
I like Charles Mingus among others.
And yes, I like some John Coltrane. Blue Train particularly. Wes Montgomery's cool too. |
