Jamie 11-29-2004 09:31 AM

^^^ You not got school today?!?

(im off due to exams :))

bassist-bmxer 11-29-2004 09:32 AM

I dont go to school, i left a few years ago and started home schooling, but now i'm looking for a job.....kinda.

Jamie 11-29-2004 09:34 AM

oh right! kool :)

How old are you?

So is home schooling better (as in you learn better) ?

-Jamie

bassist-bmxer 11-29-2004 09:40 AM

i'm 15 which is proving diffucult to find a job.

erm i'm not really sure, some people say it is better because you dont get distracted from other kids but i dont think that really. Its not really as great as people think, yeah it can be cool to just stay at home and do your work when you want to, but i get very bored and quite lonely and i kinda wished i stayed at school.

Jamie 11-29-2004 09:44 AM

ahhhh right. You could always just look for a saturday job?

-Jamie

bassist-bmxer 11-29-2004 09:49 AM

Hey Jamie, hows it going?

You defretted your own bass right? How easy is it? I'm not sure i'd have the ability to do it myself and was wondering how easy it is/where i could get it done professionally?

I've defretted one of my basses. It really isn't all that hard. There is a lesson about it if you were thinking about doing it yourself...if you want it professionally done, take it to the nearest guitar shop with a luthier ... they should be able to do it. Personally, I'd do it myself if I were you ... it really isn't all that hard, and a luthier will charge you a lot to do it.

Hmmmmm ok, it's just that if i **** it up then it'll be irretrevable, hmmmm i'll have a think about it, maybe my dad will help me with it...

But really ... the only thing that you could really mess up is if you took a huge chunk out of your fretboard, and that could be easily repaired with some wood filler stuff. And if it was too bad, you could just buy a fretless neck...(although I don't know how much thost cost.)

neal_672 11-29-2004 10:56 AM

Hmmmm i guess so, i'll have a look at the lesson...

EDIT: I can't access the old lessons folder and can't find the lesson :upset:

Espbassor 11-29-2004 11:07 AM

mmm...spiffy...
