Hey can you guys help me with my wireless connection please?

I'm sad now :(

This morning woke up turned the laptop on and it connected within seconds and i was away as oliv knows because i was chatting to him :)

Now it wont connect. I can connect between router and usb thingy for 54MB speed well but i can't get the internet.

Any ideas what's up?

I really want to take my laptop in my room and not be stuck with this bright red ethernet cable up it's *** in the spare room.

Yeh i troubleshooted it and i got everything to work up until it got to "connecting to your wireless interface"....then it failed :(

Believe me ive been playing with it for about an hour now.

Guys....I need some isolation headphones so that I can play along to music and actually be able to hear it rather than just drums.

Any suggestions on what one to try out....?

from a network perspective:

reset your router. maybe try setting up the wireless part from scratch.

worst case scenario, reinstall your wireless adapter, and reset your router to factory defaults and start from the beginning

also make sure your firewall isnt blocking anything (network adapter, software etc) best thing to do is just turn it off and see if you can get online without it

Disconnect the router and try again?

if you can make an ethernet connection with the router, it points to either wireless config or firewall.


troubleshooting a computer (or internet in this case) is basically trial and error.

I pressed reset on the router.

Then i tried going through the talk talk CD that helps to install everything and i got up to the bit where you take out the ethernet cable and plug in the usb adapter and see whether the adapdter can connect to the router and it fails..........

try reinstalling the USB adapter. also, make sure your wireless is turned on, SSID being broadcast etc.

if the wireless is on, and the ID is being broadcast, but your computer cant find the network, it might be an issue with the adapter

I'm trying to reinstall the adapter but it's stuck on a please wait screen for quite a while now and im impatient.

My laptop doesnt have wireless in it. Thus why i bought the adapter.

I found out how to bypass the Megaupload limit, but I feel kind of bad doing it.
