American manufacturers are not in the least concerned with fuel economy or innovation and that upsets me, greatly.
i feel the same way.

what i want to see is a "spiritual successor" to the old VW buses. some new cars seem to draw on that a little, but i'd really like to see some sort of remake revival of it by an import company.

BenJammin 10-29-2006 09:07 PM
Well all the tracks on the CD are on the EPs too I think.

In other news, my new bass is awesome.
Yeah, all of the tracks are, except for "Still" and "Bitches Ain't Shit." If you'd like, I'll upload you the 3 EPs, if you don't have them.

And I hate you and your 7 string. :upset:

British Kid 10-29-2006 09:08 PM
Very cool. :)

The text thing, I'd need to see in order to give my approval on, since I can't totally conceptualize it, and if I were to, it probably still wouldn't be how you see it.

The blues? Just a bit darker. The 'main' blue is a touch too bright for my tastes, but it might just look that way because there's so much open space.
thats what i thought.

how many base blues do you think you want 4?

also, i left the open space there for possible locations for text. after i finish writing this paper for US History (college level, ugh...) i'll fool around with that first one a bit more, just for ideas, mostly for text though.

Pinhead13 10-29-2006 09:09 PM

My family has never owned an American car. Is it Japanese or nothing....

I still can't believe I found it at GC. Plus I didn't get until the day after I saw it, so I was freaking out big time that someone would get it.
The weird thing is that it doesn't fell that big too be. It looks big, but doesn't feel that bad.

College papers < life.

Yeah, 4 sounds reasonable. Ideally, I'd like a happy medium between not too sparse, and not too busy. I'ma gonna trust your judgement on this one.

And I figured, afterward, that the space was for text.

The Brad 10-29-2006 09:12 PM

My parents were always American minded, they played around with a bunch of European cars and a Datsun Z before I was born, but after that they were strictly Ford, just because of outdated opinions. When I bought my car my mom wouldn't lend me money to buy a Honda because "the seats are uncomfortable" what kinda **** is that? Haha

Whatever, I got it to buy a Prius so booya!

It's pretty amazing. The Conklin tone is pretty much my ideal tone. I've listened to recordings by CK, John Turner, and countless others and the tone is always different but contains that subtle distinctness that you get from a Conklin.

The low strings are ridiculous. Great tone.

I see what your saying. There really isn't any kind of basic, cheap, reliable van-type thing around these days. Volkswagen should just start making Bugs, Things, and Buses again.

The Brad 10-29-2006 09:20 PM

^ pwnage. (WRX)

Ting 10-29-2006 09:21 PM

damn. Anyone heard louis johnson's bassline in get on the floor by michael jackson? So awesome. Just finished learning it by ear.

I really don't care about cars. I guess that makes me a bad male.

:p

To bring up an old topic (but a favorite of mine), I've rolled a joint, I'd say that I'm obligated to smoke it.

The Chevy Rapist.

User Name 10-29-2006 09:25 PM

Wrong, the Rapist comes from the factory with "Free Candy" painted on the side.

edit: so I want to skip school Tuesday to buy The Who album right away.

And, this girl I know wants to take the day off with me.

She has a boyfriend though.

I don't know what to do.

The Brad 10-29-2006 09:27 PM

And the rapist van has no windows.

Not safe for individuals under 18, but hilarious.

doesnt work for me

Spaceman Spiff 10-29-2006 09:29 PM

It still works if it has windows, but ideally it won't. If you want a custom Rapist, just smash the windows and fix them up by taping cardboard over them.
Everyone knows rapist vans are white.
I'd say grey. White doesn't seem right to me.

Dents, smashed head/tail lights, scratches, any damage really, adds to the effect of the Rapist.

Akira 10-29-2006 09:31 PM

Around here, you can see the exact same vans riding around full of people of questionable levels of citizenship.

I plan on it. I'm still most likely going to have Jared build me an 8 or 9 this summer, but I might see how my income is and splurge for a Stambaugh 7 or 8 instead. His prices are damn reasonable and his work is ridiculous.

Edit: Post 9,900 zomg. We're on the home stretch now.
