Firecracker 06-19-2004 07:58 AM

people i know have been talking about that thing with joey jordison all week.
they just won't get over it.

Big-Bird 06-19-2004 07:59 AM

i dont even think it was that great. joey and dave both great drummers i just dont see em cut to be metallica's style. plus lars' set is a ***** set

guitarfrog 06-19-2004 08:18 AM

i was listening to the st. anger album today and i must say, the song SUCK ABSOLUTE MONKEY NUTS! i mean, they say this is back to the old days, but its not. here are a few reasons...

1. in the old days, metallica made magnificent composures (oriion!!!). i looked at the tabs for st. anger and they are so **** easy. looks like osmething id compose >.< and im a ****ty composer. ****, the st anger stuff is barely even songs.

2. in the old days, metallica was a kickass thrash band. gruff vocals, fast music, awesome solos. now theyre some stupid slow heavy band with james complaining about life with his cheesy voice and there are no solos! what the hell? at least the old songs were about cool stuff like headbanging and such :D .

BRING BACK THE OLD DAYSSS!

sorry, i just had to let my anger out. i cant really insult metallica that much cause then again half of their music was good stuff.

i think the members of metallica are really good musicians, but theyre not really using that talent well right now.

what do you think?

Kreator 06-19-2004 09:46 AM

nothing. bump 2

superpeer 06-19-2004 12:48 PM

Bartender 06-19-2004 01:08 PM

I think it's a little late to warn people not to spam in the Metallica thread.

sMURFJEW 06-19-2004 01:10 PM

DisposableHeroes 06-19-2004 02:41 PM

i wont flame ya, it is overrated. A good album but yes overrated

btoto 06-19-2004 02:44 PM

hmmmmmmmm.........I like Wherever I may Roam !

DisposableHeroes 06-19-2004 02:48 PM

i like everything but Of Wolf And Man and the Unforgiven and maybe some other stuff

sMURFJEW 06-19-2004 02:49 PM

Stuggle within is worst song on the album

DisposableHeroes 06-19-2004 02:52 PM

it aint that bad, over average (if i make a spelling mistake it'll be the pimms talking)

metalmania13 06-19-2004 02:54 PM

I think Kirk Hammet can blow my Italian sausage, Metallica Blows me asshole

Lostprophetguy 06-19-2004 03:42 PM

Disposable Heroes is one of the best Metallica songs, I reckon.

Burdcheese 06-19-2004 04:48 PM

The Black album gets worse as it goes along with the exception of The God That Failed - great song.

Metalmania13: Get the fuck out of our thread

TheMaster05: Go get AJFA now

DisposableHeroes: Whose on this tour you speak of?

BludgeonySteve 06-19-2004 04:50 PM
Disposable Heroes is one of the best Metallica songs, I reckon.
I reckon it's one of my least favorite. Boring and slow at the start, bad flow, I don't like the vocals, one of hammets worst solos, lars abusing the snare drum more than usual.

(slash) 06-19-2004 05:16 PM

metallica rule

sMURFJEW 06-19-2004 05:18 PM

How can you not like Disposable heros. I love it. And the solo is one of my favorites

another guy 06-19-2004 07:03 PM

how about those four horsemen? that song has so many classic riffs in it, THANK YOU DAVE!

sMURFJEW 06-19-2004 07:12 PM

hmmm i never realy thought about it, but Who wrote the solos on Kill em all?

Kirk or mustaine

CreepingBlack 06-19-2004 07:30 PM

Kirk played them i think, so i bet he wrote them. But im only betting and thinking, so obviously im not 100% on it.

Kreator 06-20-2004 02:45 AM
The Black album gets worse as it goes along with the exception of The God That Failed - great song.
my friend of misery is good too..

^^^ just have to look at a tab off a kill em all solo then you know that kirk wrote it

MetalLord 06-20-2004 04:38 AM

i have the bay area thrashers cd with dave playing lead and ron mcgovney playing bass and the solos in the songs on there are almost, if not, identical to the ones on kill em all so they were written by dave or at least based on what he wrote

superpeer 06-20-2004 06:11 AM

Yay, I turned 18. :chug:

btoto 06-20-2004 08:44 AM

congratulations Superpeer :)

^^^^solos on Kill 'em all were written by Mustaine. except the 1st solo in the 4 Horsemen by Kirk and Hit the Lights by Lloyd Grant.

Kirk played them a bit differently than Dave. But still, they sound very similar.

sMURFJEW 06-20-2004 01:07 PM

Really^^ Cuz the 1st solo on The fourhorsemen is one of my favorite, same with Hit the lights.

Burdcheese 06-20-2004 01:44 PM

Happy Birthday Superpeer!

:chug:

btoto 06-20-2004 01:50 PM

^^I don't know, my favourtite KEA solo is last 4 horsemen, metal militia and 1st phantom lord.

DisposableHeroes 06-20-2004 01:57 PM
woot it's the 213124124214th OFFICIAL metallica thread....metallica is lame
i respect your opinion but if you didnt like them why post?

Kirk-hammet 06-20-2004 07:17 PM

Mustaine did indeed write most of if not all of the KEA solos, god u guys no ur metallica lol. anyways does anyone think Kirk learned really fast he only started when he was 15 and some of his best solos and **** are from KEA. its harder to play someone else's solos then ur own aswell.
